Starting Over

Chapter 53

The final two concerts were the best shows of the tour. It was bitter sweet for it all to come to an end but I was glad we both had family with us to share in the excitement. The energy that Harry extended was contagious to everyone in attendance and it was like we didn't want the final show to end. However all good things must come to an end, but that just allows for even better things to happen as far as I am concerned.

The last couple days have flown by. It was great spending time with everyone, but it was time for my parents and Emma's to head home. Anne and Gemma were going to be staying a few more days with us. Right now Harry, Gemma and Anne are all saying their goodbyes to mom,dad and Emma's parents. My mom and Anne have made plans on meeting up very soon which makes me very happy.
I am going to take everyone to the airport and saying my goodbyes there. On the ride to the airport I spoke with everyone about the plans I have of Harry becoming a permanent part of my life and I am very thankful for all the support I am getting from them. They all assured me that they all only want to see me happy and if it is Harry who makes he happy then they will all welcome him with open arms. We also made plans for Harry and I to visit while we have some free time.
Once I left the airport I was heading home. Harry and his family headed there already.  It will be nice spending some time with Harry and his family. I really can't wait to know them better. I feel it is very important to have a connection with Harry's family also. I have a huge connection with Emma's parents and I want to have the same connection with Anne and Gemma.
Once I reach the house I find Harry napping by the pool, which he total deserves. Gemma is up in her room unpacking and Anne is in the kitchen trying to figure out what to whip up for dinner. So I head straight to the kitchen so we can have the chat I have been wanting to have with her. To say I am nervous is an understatement and I shouldn't be because I have done this before. However this time is different since Harry I have really only known him for a little over a year and we have only been together together for a little over six months.

I go and sit at the high top in the kitchen and ask Anne if she would join me. She smiled and quickly brought some tea over for us and sat across from me. I decided to cut straight to it and looked her in the eyes and said "Anne you know I love your son very much right"  She nodded her head as she sipped her tea. "I have never felt so connected to someone as I do with Harry and that includes Emma. What I am trying to say is I want to marry your son. I know we haven't been together for very long but I have learned not to waste a moment of your life because you never know when it will end. Harry makes me so very happy and I do believe that I do the same for him. I do realize that people are calling me a gold digger and other bad things, but that isn't true. I would love Harry even without all of this. Harry has an unbelievable heart and soul and that is what I first fell in love with". I paused for a moment to try to read her reaction when she reached across the table for my hand.
"Niall my dear, I would be honored to have you join this family. You are such a caring person and I can tell that my son is completely head over heals for you. The way he talks about you and the way his face lights up when he looks at you says everything to me. I do believe that you two make each other complete".
I was so relieved  that I actually got some tears in my eyes. I got up and walked around the high top and hugged Anne with all my might and she did the same. Once we released she still held onto my shoulders and said "You will be a great addition to this family and I can't wait for grandkids and I am sure your parents feel the same way". I just chuckled.

I can't believe this is the last concert of my world tour. It has been a roller coaster ride for sure and I don't think I would change a thing about it at all. It is funny to think it was Nick who actually opened my and Niall's eyes to the idea of a relationship with each other. So I wouldn't even want him to not be along on part of the ride. I am just thrilled that I have my mom and sister here at the final shows of my first world tour along with the love of my life and his family.
The crowd was awesome and it was a joy to share this evening with them. When the concert was over I was waiting for the one person I wanted to share this with backstage and soon enough he came rushing back from the sound board area. Niall had a broad smile across his face when I saw him along with some tears in his eyes. He soon rushed into my open arms and we got to share this special moment embraced in each other's arms.
Niall had left the hotel to take his parents and Emma's parents to the airport. I also left at the same time with my mom and Gemma. We were heading to my house and I can't wait for some much needed down time at home. Once we arrived I went and changed into a pair of swim trunks, Gemma carried her and mom's bags to their rooms and mom headed straight to the kitchen. I was excited since I will be eating my mom's cooking for the next couple days.
I didn't even realize I had fallen asleep until Niall was waking me up by kissing me all over my face. "Wake up sleepy head. Your mom has made a fabulous meal and it is time to eat" Niall said once I had opened my eyes. With one final kiss he stood up and walked back in the house looking over his shoulder and saying "I will be more then happy to eat your share if you prefer to sleep you lazy arse" Then he started to laugh and jog inside.
We all had a wonderful meal and chatted about how fantastic last's night show was. Then we talked about what the plan was. How long my break will be before I start to work on the next album. Then we talked about what Gemma had going on in her life. It was just an all around pleasant evening. I am so blessed to have people in my life who love completely and they love me back.
