I woke up to a text from my mom.
Mom- Your father is dead. He was shot by accident. The person who shit him confessed and is facing life. If only you were here, you could've stopped him.
-Why was he out?
Mom- He just went to take a walk and he started to walk in a bad neighborhood.
-When's the funeral?
Mom- We're doing it next week on Sunday be there by 9am
-Okay.
I was heart broken, even though I didn't like my family my dad was my biggest role model. I was a complete daddy's girl. Why him? I started to cry, and X woke up to the sound of it.
X: Baby, what's wrong?
Me: My father, he's- dead.
He didn't say anything, he just hugged me.
Me: Why him? Why couldn't be me? I'll never find happiness, and my dad was happily living.
X: Don't say that. I'm pretty sure your father would be feeling the same way if it was the other way around.
Me: Well I'm going to his funeral, would you come with me?
X: Of course I'm coming. I'm not gonna let you be with your family by yourself. I know y'all do t get along.
Me: I love you.
X: I love you more.
Me: Impossible.
X: Don't test it.
He said kissing my forehead.
