[this is the actual chapter 16 so read all the way though]

April 27th, 2016
I sat in the waiting room with my family being impatient about my child's condition. My mother held my hand telling me it was going to be okay. I know I looked a mess but I care less right now. My child's life was just in my hands. Blue laid in my lap silently cry as solange paces back and forth cursing at the receptionist for not telling us that it was okay to go see jasmine. My dad held my other hand. Even though we don't have the best relationship, he cares a lot about his grandchildren. Especially if they came from me. I laid my head on my father's shoulder

"She's going to be alright bumble bee" he spoke. I nodded my head

A few more hours past and the doctors came outside, " knowles-Gonzalez family?"

I immediately sat up getting ready to hear about my daughter's condition. I slowly got out of my chair walking towards the doctors. Jay stood up with me and We stood in front of the doctors.

"Hello I'm the head doctor, Dr. Goldstone and this is Dr. Kumasi and We have good news and bad news"

I placed my hand over my mouth containing my emotions, "give me the bad news"

"Jasmine, your daughter, when she was brought in she was uncautious due to the overdose. Nowshe overdosed on triazolam and clonazepam, which are strong sleeping pills that will causes seizures. As we were operating on her condition...her immune system weakened to the point she entered a persistent vegetable state" said Dr. Kumasi

"What's that?" Jay asked terrified

I blinked away my tears not ready to hear what they actually wanted to say.

"Unfortunately jasmine is in a coma" Dr. goldstone clarified

I felt weakness in my legs, "okay. And the good news?"

"She is doing perfectly fine. I'm no specialist butI have high hopes that she will eventually wake up. Now, you confirmed that she has been having chronic nightmares, am I correct?"

"Yes" I responded weakly

"Well the best thing to do when she wakes up is to seek immediate help. For now, the best thing we can do right now for your daughter is to wait for her to respond to our machines and give us a message" Dr. Kumasi reported

"Okay so what should I be looking for, while waiting for this message"

"Well slow motions in her body like eye movements or moving her toes perhaps her hands" Dr. Kumasi spoke

I nodded, "may we see her?"

They nodded their heads, "of course. Try to not make any loud sounds. You are more than welcomed to speak to her. That help speed up the process."

"Thank you doctor" jay said as we went to her room. The family and I took a seat somewhere in the room. I sat down next to her holding her hand.

"Beyonce!"

I heard. I looked up and seen Anthony. I got up and ran to hug him tight. I sobbed in his embrace.

"It's okay" he whispered. "It's not your fault"

I lifted my head he cupped the sides of my face looking into my eyes. "It's my fault. I should have gotten her checked out about these nightmares" I spoke with ridged breath
