Well, there was one thing that happened...

When our week in Iwagakure was over and we had arrived home again, a week passed where the Iwa nins could be seen all over the village, dutifully doing any mission they were given without complaint. Granted they had all been told about the kidnap attempt, that wasn't much of an attempt, and seemed to be trying to make up for it with hard work.

But then again I could be reading too much into it.

One thing is for sure; they were extremely nice to me and Otou-sensei throughout their whole stay in Konoha. It was so weird.

Eventually they left though, and we were on our way to Suna. Which took a lot longer than when I traveled alone or with Otou-sensei, but it wasn't too bad, since all my friends were here.

Pinky and Naruto used most of the trip on apologizing to me, since they felt it was their fault that I was kidnapped. Apparently Otou-sensei had been very mad at them, which was why I hadn't seen them much this past week.

Once we arrived in Suna, we immediately started our missions. I went on missions with Otou-sensei, even though the the elders of the sand didn't think it was too good an idea because of how little I was. They shut up pretty quickly though, once they got the reports from our missions. I really couldn't help but feel a bit smug, when even they tried to defend me about halfway into the week, when a client refused to have me come along.

Supposedly I was too young and would only get in the way, which kinda hurt to be told. Don't get me wrong, I've been told worse, but still. Ouch.

Well, once more the problems of what to do with me arouse. The client was annoyingly stubborn about it. Anyway, Otou-sensei wouldn't let Pinky and Naruto watch me again, and since I couldn't stay with him we would have to figure something out. Preferably quickly, judging by the clients annoyed face.

Gaara however ended the discussion quickly, before anyone else could volunteer to be my babysitters, by suggesting himself. Which was how I ended up with the youngest Kazekage in history as my babysitter.

Not that I minded, he got me some papers and some pencils and colored pencils the second that he learned that I liked to draw and he was really kind, even though he was very quiet. I was drawing his face, which seemed to confuse him. I couldn't help but giggle at him confused face.

He kept working on his paperwork, even with how confused I made him, which was more than what most people did when I bothered them. Then again I wasn't actually trying to bother him, so maybe it was easier for him because of that little fact?

Whatever...

At about noon he stopped working and we went out to find something for lunch. We got dango, apparently Otou-sensei told Gaara that I like dangoes, which was the main reason why we got it. Though Gaara liked the dangoes too, so there's that.

The dango shop was near the border of Suna and as we sat there eating we could suddenly hear a ruckus closer towards the border. We shared a look before we both went to check it out, we didn't hurry or anything, since it didn't sound too bad. It wasn't even enough to automatically call other shinobi to come check it out, but we went anyway. I don't think Gaara felt like going back to his paperwork.

When we arrived at the scene of the sounds it was completely quiet once again. Though it felt wrong and overall it just seemed too quiet. We quickly discovered why, when we found the guards, that was supposed to guard the border, passed out on the ground.

As Gaara bed down to check for a pulse, I heard something and turned just in time to see what looked like three bombs fly straight at said Kazekage. I reacted instinctively by throwing three of my own bombs, bombing the bombs in the air.
