Chain of Memories

Chapter 14

It will be a very busy week.  Lahat ay naghahanda para sa school fair na magsisimula ngayong araw.  Day-by-day I'm learning how to cope up the culture of STU, gaining friends and learning who to trust and who are not. 

Kinausap ako ng barkada ni Cley,  they want to have a deal. In order for me to have them as my friends pakasalan ko raw si Ganymede sa darating na fair sa isa sa mga booth ng school. 

I was shocked kasi hindi ko naman sila kinakausap and I rarely talked to them.  I declined their offer because I don't want to play with someone else's feeling and emotion and why should I follow them?

"Okay students line up!  We're about to begin the cutting of the ribbon for our school fair! " our teacher said.  So we immediately went to our section and line-up.

"Good morning!" bati ni Lorainne na nasa likod ko.  She put her hands on my shoulder and whispered on my ear

"Si Gan ang mag-cut ng ribbon today" sabi niya na parang kinikilig pa.

I looked at her "How did you know?"

I'm curious kasi nagkasama naman kaming dalawa ni Ganymede but he didn't tell me this one.  Anyway why does he need to tell it?  I breathe out.

"Nevermind" then I turned my back to her again. 

"Usapan kasi sa school.  At tsaka may isang booth na gustong-gusto ng mga estudyante dito and evey year si Ganymede ay isa sa mga madalas madala doon"

I looked at her again.  Interested on what she said.

"Jail booth? " I guess.  Iyon lang naman ang madalas pagdalhan ng mga tao di ba?  We had one in Singapore but I always end up in blind date booth or marriage booth.

"No!" she even crossed her arms na parang gulat na gulat sa sinabi ko.

"Marriage booth, gurl!"

"Ah!" I nodded my head sa sinabi niya.

"I bet na marami na siyang napakasalan na babae" the thought of him getting 'married' with someone else is kinda annoying.  I don't know why I'm feeling this way but I just hate the fact that girls flock over him. 

But who doesn't flock over him? Sa mga nakaraang buwan ay nakikita ko talaga kung bakit ang daming nagkakagusto kay Gan.

He is really one of a kind. Matalino, mabait, responsable at higit sa lahat ay may isang salita plus na lang siguro yung mukha niya.

"Marami na talaga siyang napakasalan.  And lahat iyon ay 'not real'" she smirked at me then tapped my shoulder again "Baka ikaw na ang first 'real' niya"

"What?" Wait!  Anong 'real' ang sinasabi ng isang ito?  "What real?"

She shrugged off her shoulders and didn't answer me. 

Mahina lang ang usapan namin ni Lorainne dahil nagsasalita sa harap ang principal ng school. I was about to asked her again when the cutting of the ribbon started and like what Lorainne said,  it was Ganymede who cut the ribbon. 

"Welcome to the 150th foundation day of St. Therese University!" the Principal said.  Everyone clapped their hands and entered the huge field wherein different booths were installed. 

Lorainne walked with me to visit different booths.  There's so many fun booths that every students would enjoy.  May mga ferris wheel, bump car and different small rides that students would surely line-up. Different food stalls and different activities. The foundation day of STU is better compared to my school in Singapore. 

"Doon tayo" hinila ako ni Lorainne papunta sa isang photo booth.

Wala masyadong tao kaya nakapag-papicture kaming dalawa kaagad.  Busy pa ang ibang students sa ibang booth kaya hindi nila masyadong pinupuntahan ang ganitong klaseng booth.
