Honestly, wouldn't you agree?

You fool yourself into thinking that you have such a perfect relationship with someone.

A romantic one.

But you don't really know.

Your significant other could just one day not love you anymore.

And, maybe, you could just not love your significant other one day.

These things can happen.

And they can be heartbreaking.

The world is unfair, isn't it?

"Mimmy, I want to break up with you."

Mimmy didn't think she would hear those words from her boyfriend.

Or, former boyfriend.

"W-Why, did I do something wrong?" Mimmy asked, walking closer to Guren.

"I'm sorry. I didn't think this would happen, but I honestly don't love you anymore," Guren sighed.

"You're joking, right?"

Guren didn't respond, but instead, looked away from Mimmy.

"Guren! Answer me!"

Guren faced the opposite direction of Mimmy, his back facing her.

"Sakurada, I love you, but as a friend. This relationship isn't real, my feelings aren't real, this isn't real."

Mimmy stared in shock, a few tears rolling down her face.

Guren didn't even bother to turn around and comfort her.

"Do you love someone else?" Mimmy questioned, trying to keep her voice from cracking.

Guren sighed. "No, I don't. I just don't think this can last."

Mimmy took off her scarf and started smacking Guren with it like it was a whip.

"W-Why would y-you think that?" Mimmy continued to smack Guren.

"Sakurada, you honestly are a really nice person. The thing is, I don't feel love in this relationship. With Erissa, yes, I felt different. Much different. But now, I don't feel any feelings towards you," Guren responded, slowly walking away.

"W-Wait, can you grant one request before our relationship is over?" Mimmy asked, grabbing Guren's arm before he was able to walk further away.

Guren turned around and nodded.

"T-Then, just once, hold my hand," Mimmy requested.

"I will be able to grant that request. Is that all you need? I don't want to leave you here feeling sad."

Mimmy smiled.

At least he still cared.

"Yes. I won't request anything else. Just hold my hand, one more time."

Guren nodded and grabbed Mimmy's hand.

Mimmy held his warm hand, despite the cold weather.

She wanted to stay like this even longer, but Guren let go.

"I'm sorry. We're still friends, aren't we?"

Mimmy nodded and put her scarf back on.

"Of course. But, I will always love you, even if you don't love me back."

Guren smiled warmly at the Sakurada.

"I'll see you later, then. Until next time."

Guren disappeared into the snow, leaving Mimmy by herself.

"Until next time, Guren."
