RIKKI

September 6, 2013 3:15 p.m.

"Hey do any of you want to go to the mall tomorrow?" I asked my friends.

"Sorry, Rikki, but Lacey, Lance, Zayn, and I are double dating at the movies tomorrow," said Tanya.

"I'm booked too," said Bailey. "Taylor and I are going out for dinner at Vince's."

Yes, that's right; every single one of my friends has a boyfriend except me. Well, I actually have a good excuse for not having a boyfriend. Bailey, Tanya, and Lacey are all sixteen-year-old sophomores whereas I'm a fifteen-year-old freshman. I can't drive yet, so my parents won't let me start dating until I get my driver's license. Heck, I hadn't even had a phone until I turned fifteen.

Lacey's boyfriend was a blond haired, blue-eyed football player named Lance. Lance is a starting running back on the football team, even though he's only a sophomore. Lance is very, very tall at 7'1", no joke. I mean he is huge and he is still growing!

Tanya is dating Zayn, a shaggy, dark haired, brown-eyed baseball player. Zayn plays first base for the varsity team. Zayn has a huge appetite, but he manages to stay only 150 pounds in his lanky, six-foot-tall frame.

Lance and Zayn are both sophomores like Lacey and Tanya, but Bailey's boyfriend, Taylor, is a junior and also the star shooting guard on the basketball team. Taylor is a linebacker on the football team as well. Taylor's hair is dark and cut in a navy crop. Taylor has gorgeous green eyes and is slightly tan, no matter what season it is. Bailey and Taylor are the perfect couple, in my opinion.

"Okay then, how about Sunday?" I asked.

"I've got to go to work at my parents' party that they are throwing for the governor or something. Sorry, Rikki," said Lacey.

"I've got to help her work at the party," said Tanya.

"I have to watch my siblings on Sunday. Sorry, Rikki, maybe another time," said Bailey regretfully.

"It's okay, guys. It's no big deal. I guess I'll see you Monday."

"See ya," they replied as I started walking to the elementary building to pick up Adam. After I picked Adam up, we would walk to our limo so we could be taken home.

When I arrived at the elementary school, I saw Adam talking to someone in the green Soul that I'd been seeing. I couldn't see who was in the car, so I began walking to it. Then all of a sudden, I saw a hand dart out of the Kia and Adam dropped to the ground. I took off running.

"Adam!" I screamed. "Adam! What happened?" When I got to the Soul, I looked into the car. Jacque Nelson, still wearing his janitor's outfit (even though I was pretty sure he wasn't really a janitor) was the driver. Despite the fact that he was still wearing his janitor's outfit, Jacque had now taken off his huge glasses and white hair (which was actually a wig). Jacque's real hair style was a buzz cut and his hair color was dark brown.

A younger looking guy, who was wearing an aqua blue V-neck tee and jeans, was in the passenger seat on the side I was on. He had shaggy blond hair and looked to be about 6'5". The younger guy looked to be about twenty-one or so years old and very familiar, but I couldn't remember where I'd seen him before.

"What have you done to my brother?" I screamed at the young man.

"You'd better shut up," said Jacque instead of the younger man.

"I asked you a question. What have you done to my broth-," I started to yell, but before I could finish, Jacque pulled out a handgun.

"I suggest that you get into the car with your brother before I shoot both of your heads off," he said with an evil smile while the younger guy didn't say anything.
