I can't stop thinking about what Lauren said. Sure, Nadia has changed, but what if she hasn't? I mean like Lauren always knows what's gonna happen. Gosh, that kid is a psychic.

But seriously, she always knows what's gonna happen. When she's free and not studying, I hear her do some weird sounding rituals in her room, and sometimes when it gets too loud, the sounds will go all the way back to my room, which is weird because there's a bathroom between our rooms cause we share.

I'm gonna get dressed but I don't know what I should wear. I know, I know, it sounds like I'm a girl.

She didn't say about being formal nor casual, so I don't know!

Maybe I should just be casual, she's not my girlfriend anyway, we're not even planning to date again, this is just hanging out. Yup, I'll go casual.

I feel like I'm Jughead from Riverdale today, so, I'm gonna wear a beanie. Afterall, it is pretty chilly outside.

I grab my beanie, a flannel, and some jeans.

I don't look like Jughead too much, right?

Lauren is sleeping, Mom is talking to the doctor, and Darian is probably taking some photos outside.

Me and Nadia would usually meet by this coffee place, yes I know I go to cafés a lot, I'm a sucker for some coffee. As I was saying, the coffee place is pretty near the park, which is where we went after having some snacks. We would usually bike around and learn some new tricks, and then soon on biking home. I miss the old days.

As I walk out of the hospital, I see Mark and his girlfriend, Sophia Rose. That boy and girl did break Mackenzie, and I'm still mad at how he ended it with her.

At least he doesn't see me, or we would be in many trouble. Man, they need to get a room, if they don't, sooner or later they'll be doing the nasty in the park bench. Oh no, what if they are heading to the park?

I see the coffee place, Nadia isn't there yet. Well I think I'm offly early, afterall, it's 5:43 am.

I ordered some iced coffee, my favorite kind of coffee, and a cookie. Now all I do is sit here and wait for 17 minutes until it's exactly 6:00 am.

Luckily I brought my earphones, cause music is my literal life.

The playlist is currently playing Blackbear's 'chateau'.

I don't wanna continue to that, next word is gonna be a bad one. But I have to say, Blackbear songs are my jam.

I know the song may have a weird meaning, but hey, it's pretty catchy and has a good tune to it.

I soon see Nadia come towards the table, and takes a seat.

I take the earphones off my ears, and tuck it back to my pocket.

"Hey," I say

"Hi John," she says

"What do you wanna do?" she asks

"To be honest I usually know what to do, but now I don't." I chuckle

"Do you wanna talk about your preferences of people in school?" she asks

"That would be fine, I guess," I say

"Hmm, Mark Thomas. What do you think of him?" she asks

"Well, he used to be my friend, but now he kind of acts like a dumb donkey." I say

"I find him as very unattractive. His nose bothers my eyes," she giggles

"What about Hayden?" I ask

"He looks like a dream boat, but acts like he has an IQ of a wall." she says

"I have a feeling he tries to act cool. I heard that if people try to act cool at young adolescence, they might have to deal with some conflict with drugs and alcohol." I say

"That's true. Well, I can't think of anyone, skip my turn." she says

"What about Mackenzie?" I ask

"Oh. Erm- we kind of bad history. Let's just say we don't really get along." she says

"And why is that?" I ask

"I don't really know, it's complicated. What's your opinion on her?" she says as she scratches her neck.

"Um-" I blush

"You like her! Awww, John, you're so cute." she says

"I don't! She's like a sister to me," I say

"Really now John, really now." she says

"Change the subject please," I say

fast forward >>

"Ew! I think I just caught Mark and Sophia doing some stuff by that bench!" She says as she points to Mark and Sophia moaning and well, exchanging eachother's saliva.

Her hands go around his neck, and his hand slowly goes down to- oh no.

Sophia sees us, and she taps Mark on the shoulder. She whispers loudly-

"Let's take this to my bedroom-"

Shiz! That's gross, you shouldn't be doing that unless you're married. What if she becomes pregnant? She better have some protection.

We walk away from the gross bench, and soon sit on a clean one.

"So John, how are you? How's family life?" She asks

"Well Lauren had a seizure a few days ago, and now she pretty much has to go through surgery later." I say

"That sucks! Ruby hit puberty, so she's pretty much acting all annoying to me now; she's lazy and aggressive." she says

"Wow, never thought I'd see that coming from her." I say

"Well it's been great John, but I gotta go catch my shift. I'll see you around, text me when you're free." she says as she pecks my cheek.

"I will. See you soon," I say as she walks away and waves a goodbye.

Lauren was completely wrong, Nadia is a great person!
