A/N-Because this bean deserves some love too.

Being the new kid sucked. Everyone would just stare at you like you're some kind of alien or creature from a different universe.  It was very intimidating to have everyone stare at me as I walked down the hall. I was quickening my pace so I could retrieve my schedule from the office, but ended up on the ground. I looked to my left and saw a girl smirking at me. I shot her a death glare and proceeded walking to the office. I couldn't be vulnerable in front of everyone. I'd just be pushed around even more.

As I was about to open the door, the door flew open causing me to stumble back.

 "Sorry!" The person exclaimed.

"Don't be. You didn't know I was behind the door anyways," I said while smiling at the shy boy in front of me. I noticed he was becoming flustered.

"You don't have to be shy around me, I'm a pretty open person. A pretty nice one too."

He smiled at my effort of trying to befriend him. "I'm assuming you are a new student," He said.

"Yup," I responded popping the P.

"I'll be glad to show you around school, if you'd like," He offered.

"That'd be great!" Maybe this first day won't be too bad after all.

"Just let me grab my schedule first," I told him before entering the office. I saw a middle age lady standing at the counter. "What can I do for you miss," She asked faking a smile. I could tell she hated her job. I'd hate it too. "I just need my schedule. I'm a new student here," I answered.

"First and last name please."

"Y/n L/n."

The lady handed me my schedule and I quickly made my way out the door. I showed Jeremy my schedule and he showed me where all my classes were. We had 10 minutes before the bell rang, so we decided to sit outside on a bench and just talk.

"The only classes we have together is second and sixth period," Jeremy said.

"That sucks. I was hoping we would have more classes together," I pouted.

-3 months later-

The winter dance was in 4 days, and I was planning to ask Jeremy if he'd like to go with me, but not as a friend. As a date. I've grown to like Jeremy more than a friend. Sadly, he likes Katherine. I mean he's not wrong for liking her. Literally every single boy in the whole damn school likes her. Everyone thinks she's this angel, but no. She's a devil. I've seen her insult and hit other girls she despises. It's honestly so low of her to do. She's a monster and boys especially Jeremy can't see past her facade. It's unbelievable.

"Hey Y/n," Jeremy said while making his way to me.

"Hey Jeremy."

There was a silence.

"I have to tell you something," We said simultaneously. "You go first," We said at the same time again, making us both laugh.

"Just go first Jeremy."

"I asked Katherine to go to the winter dance with me and she said yes," Jeremy said while fist bumping the air.

I plastered on the best fake smile I could. He looked so happy and I didn't want to pull a long face and have him worry as to why I was sad.

"That's great!" It really wasn't.

"Now what were you going to say Y/n," Jeremy questioned.

-Bell rings-

I guess you could say I was saved by the bell. I know that wasn't funny, but it was for me. I ran to my first period class without saying a single thing to Jeremy. I sat at my normal seat in the corner of the classroom. I guess I can't ask him anymore. I'm glad I didn't choose to go first. That would suck. If I did, I'd think I'd have to bury myself in a hole.

As I made my way to second period, I stopped by the restroom. As I closed the stall, I heard two girls talking. One of their voices sounding all too familiar. It was Katherine.

"You really said yes to Jeremy," Her friend exclaimed.

"Shut the hell up. You're so loud," Katherine said. "But yeah, I did say yes."

"To him," Her friend sneered.

I'm about to come out of this stall and drag her. But I decided against it since one, I'm not trying to get suspended and two, I still want to listen to their conversation.

"I said yes so I can make Zach jealous, he'll come crawling back. Adding the fact, I want to see that stupid smile wiped off that girl, Y/n's face."

That's it. I'm not gonna let her use him like that. I slammed the stall door open and grabbed a handful of Katherine's hair, dragging her out of the restroom. If I'm gonna fight her, I'll make sure everyone's watching so I can call her out too.

"Let me fucking go," She screamed.

"No," I said in a nonchalantly manner.

By now the half of the school was surrounding us. "You don't fucking use my best friend to make your ex jealous," I yelled in her face.

She gave me a hard slap, that could be heard throughout the school. I tackled her to the ground and stayed on top of her. I slapped her twice as hard as she did to me, leaving a red hand mark on her face.

"Girls! That's enough. Come to my office," The principal yelled, causing everyone except Jeremy to flee from the scene. He stood there, staring at me with disappointment clearly present on his face. I looked down upset with myself that I've lowered myself to Katherine's level.

After the talk with the principal, the two of us were sent home early.

"Sweetheart. What happened," My mother asked while unlocking the door.

"Katherine happened."

We walked in and sat on the couch in the living room.

"She wanted to use Jeremy. And Jeremy really likes her. I couldn't let her do that to him. He's my best friend," I stated.

"I think you're mistaken."

I looked at my mom in confusion. "You fought for Jeremy because you like him," My mom finished. By now my mouth was open.

"Ho-how'd you know," I asked clearly flustered.

"The way you stare at Jeremy. The way your eyes glow when you're with him."

There was a knock at the door. I got up and opened the door only for it to reveal Jeremy.

He walked past me and made his way into the living room.

"Thank you," Jeremy said.

"For what," I asked genuinely confused as to why he was thanking me for beating up his crush.

"For looking out for me. I was so blind, I didn't realize that you were standing in front of me. I didn't know if you actually liked me back. So, I didn't want to take that risk of asking you to the winter dance and you rejecting me then us no longer being friends anymore, because of how awkward that was," He rambled on.

I cut him off by placing my lips on his. "You know I would've said yes because I like you too Jeremy."

"Would you like to go to the winter dance with me madam," Jeremy asked in a funny British accent.

I couldn't help but grin.

"Of course, my good man," I said in a British accent as well.
