Overnight_MillerEmma's POV
"So you want me to come over?" I asked into the phone and the soft deep hum of my husband's voice filled my ears. "Please, Darling. You're a woman and this cellphone focuses on our female customers. Plus you have style so I would love to have your input," Ross said and I smiled as I walked to our closet.
"I'm not even dressed yet. I just got out of the shower," I said and his smooth chuckle filled my ears. "Well you could always just put on a coat and give me a revealing when you get here. You know...allow me to take my stress out on you," he purred and I rolled my eyes.
"Yeah right. That's not happening. But seriously I gotta get dressed and do makeup and hair so I'll see you in an hour," I said as I entered my closet.
"Alright. I'll have Eric pick us something up for lunch too," Ross said, referring to his PA, and I nodded. "That's fine. I'm gonna go now. I love you, babe," I said.
"I love you too, Darling,"
Ross was the CEO of RSL Enterprises. They create and design new technology that smashed groundbreaking records. RSL technology was more famous than Apple and Samsung... combined. Ross and I met three years ago at a charity function. My family, the Royals, was hosting the function and I immediately caught his eye. The whole night he tried to sweep my off my feet and, after a year of him chasing me, he finally got a date.
Let's just say I've never settled easily.
After only a year of dating he proposed. I knew the night I met him that he was the one, but I had to see if he was willing to put in effort. Our wedding was huge. It was Vogue's, People's and other magazine's Wedding of the Year. We had 1000 guests and my dress was designed by Pnina Tornai. It was also crowned Wedding Dress of the Year by several magazine like Vogue and People.
Our marriage has been amazing. And our careers too. RSL Enterprises were at the top of their game and my fifth book was being published in about a month.
Life was really great.
After getting dressed I quickly did makeup and hair before walking downstairs.
"Mrs Lynch," I heard and turned to look at one of the butlers. "Yes?" I asked with a smile and he held out an envelope towards me. "This was delivered for you," he said and I thanked him before taking the envelope.
It was only a letter from my publishing company telling me that everything was going great with the book and all. Very anticlimactic.
I got into my Porsche before driving towards Ross's offices. The New York traffic proved to be a pain as it took me a whole twenty minutes longer than usual to get to Ross's office.
Once I got there though, a valet took my car and parked it as I headed up to the 31st floor. Ross's floor. "Oh, welcome, Mrs Lynch. You look stunning as always," the young PA, Eric, said and I smiled at him. "Thank you, Eric. Can I go through?" I asked and he nodded before I headed towards the big door.
"Come in," my husband's deep voice said and I felt my stomach doing flips. I pushed the door open and walked inside. "Your floor still gives me OCD. Why couldn't they add just one more floor to the building?" I asked.
Ross looked up from the pile of papers he was signing and chuckled before standing up and walking to me. "I don't know I'll ask whoever the architect was. You look stunning, Darling," Ross said and pulled me into his arms.
