Johnathan's POV

"Come on, Johnathan." Luke urged on. "It's a party just take one sip."

He took another sip from the flask he snuck in.

It takes a lot for a werewolf to get drunk but Luke makes his own alcohol so he can get drunk.

I'm pretty sure I'll be the one driving us back to the pack house.

"I told you no already Luke." I replied.

"Why not?" He whined while almost tripping.

"Because the only reason I agreed to come to this stupid masquerade is because my mate is coming." I explained for the billionth time.

"Your loss." He walked over to a group of drunk girls.

I rolled my eyes. I swear one day he's going to regret all this flirting when he finds his mate.

All of a sudden the familiar scent of black ice hit my nose.

'Mate! Mate is here!' Rafael screamed in my head.

I looked towards the entrance.

My mate just took my breath away. She was wearing a black and red dress that fit her perfectly.

Even with the mask on her face she looked beautiful.

She took a glance at her phone then looked around the room then back at her phone then put it away

Archie was with her but he went to the dessert table where I assume his mate was.

Ace took a look around and then began wandering around the gym.

A slow song soon came on. She just stood there awkwardly as everyone found partners.

I slipped my mask over my face and walked over to her.

I tapped her shoulder and enjoyed the spark that shot up my arm.

She turned around. "Hi?"

"Do you want to dance?" I asked.

"Sure. But keep those wandering hands to a minimum."

I chuckled as I put my hands around her waist as she put her hands around my neck.

I pulled her close as we began swaying to the music.

"Do you usually attend these kinds of things?" I asked.

"Not really. This is actually my first high school dance." She admitted.

"Well then I'm glad to be your first slow dance partner." I smirked.

"Who said you were my first slow dance partner?" She raised an eyebrow.

I better be.

I shrugged. "I just assumed."

She pulled out her phone but I didn't pay any attention to it. I was just happy to be this close to her without her scolding at me.

Yep I am definitely creepy.

I noticed her change in mood and frowned.

"Are you ok?" I asked.

"Yeah I'm fine." She was clearly lying.

I pulled her closer. "You can tell me anything if you want. You can trust me."

"How can I? You're wearing a mask, Stranger." She joked.

I chuckled. "You're wearing one too."

"So what makes you think you can trust me."

I pulled her even closer. "I think can."
