"Yes! Double English period with miss Hallie." I was excited to go to her class, not because of the subject but of her. She's really fun and I could say that I'm her teacher's pet. Not to brag.
I went to my seat in the second row, in the middle from the door. With Kiara sitting behind me. Not so long before we started doing our work. Two boys came in the class.
"Hello mam, we're here for substitution. Ms. Luck is absent." He said politely. She greeted them and kindly told them to take a seat. And one of them sat by the corner behind me. Not so far from me.
Kiara and I looked at each other and smiled. I focused on my work until Kiara pokes my back with her pen, annoying me.
"What?" I whispered trying not to get caught.
"I think someone is staring at me." She said awkwardly. I giggled and faced forward. She pokes me again even harder. I looked back with anger and she begged me to check who it was. I looked past her and the substitute guy was staring in our direction.
"The guy in the corner?" I asked. And she laughed thinking I was joking. I rolled my eyes trying to focus. She slowly looked back and saw him not looking at her but looking at me.
She leaned closer to me
"He's looking you!" I was surprised. I also looked back to him and he immediately pretended like he was working. I smiled widely and told her, "He's cute. But not going to date him."Faced front again and took out my phone out of my bag. I used the screen as a reflection to see if he really was looking. I see his eyes staring and dropped my phone on the floor. Kiara giggled
"Ssuurree, you guys won't date?" She says sarcastically. He got up out of his chair and picked up my phone.
"Hi Elena" he looks down at me shyly. "Hi...thanks." my voice went soft for some reason. He smiled and went back to his desk.
"Well that went well." Kiara said to me with a smirk.I hit myself on the table on purpose. Thinking I was being stupid. She rolled her eyes and we both went back to work. He was really cute. I didn't even know his name.

After school, already 4:00 p.m. when I should be home already but I guess my parents are running late.
I sat on of the benches in the shade alone waiting to be picked up. Until the two very same boys I had in English for substitution were still here. They walked up to me and that time I was still new in school. They both came and sat down. Well the cute one decided to stand up.
His friend greeted and I waved at him. While the other was trying to avoid eye contact. As I was talking to his friend I could still see in the corner of my eye that he was staring at me AGAIN.
"My name is Trey and this is Brian." His friend introduced themselves. He smiled at waved a little. Not so long a girl also came along.
"Hi guys! Hey..." She greeted. "...Name's Elena" I finished her sentence.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Gigi." With her warm smile. Gigi and Brian rolled their eyes at each other. I could tell something was going on between them."Is there anything that I'm missing here?" Looking so lost.
"We're enemies." As she answered my question in hate. So I guess there's a feud in this group. We all had a long conversation until my mom came to fetch me at 6:47 p.m. which was really late. I said goodbye to them and hugged Gigi. Then I got into the car. As we drove him. I was thinking a lot about what happened. That I actually like Brian and hoping that we'll be better friends and soon end up dating.
_____________
Few days later. I made a few more friends thanks to Gigi. She was so happy that day. Everyone started to go crazy wonder what the hell is going on.
"Hey Gigi"
Oh hey! I got good news." She said excitingly
"Well what is it?" Being anticipated
"I got a boyfriend!"
"Wow congratulations, who is it?" Well that happened fast.
"Brian." she sighed like a love arrow shot her.
"Oh my gosh, that's amazing!" Faking my happiness.Oh well shit no! It's been a few days and last time I remembered they are ENEMIES. I was gonna build a connection with him. Heart broke.
That's when I felt like ruining the relationship. But I guess I stepped back.
