I was in a good mood today haven't spoken to Chris for a while now. Best part is he didn't even bother me which is good I guess.

As I walk towards my locker, I see Keisha which is my other best friend and Kiara rushing towards me. Something's not right.

Kiara's POV:

Monday morning. Lesson three. Approximately 9:45. Math!
I toss and turn in my seat, looking for the slightest of distractions that will keep my eyes from closing. Mrs. Williams storms out of the class, for some reason I will never know as I was more focused on the leaves dancing on the ends of the branches.

"Good riddance!" I hear a voice shout. That voice can only belong to one person...Ray. I mentally slap myself for turning towards him. "Yeah, she's such a bitch. Elena thinks she's all that. That girl, eyy"

What! Did I hear correctly, aren't Elena and Ray suppose to be friends? Before I can think any further I stopped talking... "Elena in my class?"

Great going big mouth. Now you apart of this pointless conversation, way to get distracted. "Arhhh..." She smiles sheepishly at Ray who is now staring at her. "Don't worry, I won't tell her. I'm just curious." Lie! "Yeah, don't say anything to her though."

"Don't worry I won't, my lips are sealed."..... up till I find Elena."She's such a bitch." I don't bother at all to reply. That bitch be calling my friend a bitch.

"She thinks she's all that.." I interrupt her before I do something I will regret... "What happened?" I ask innocently.

"You know Chris? Yeah so she had something going on with him a year back, and then she slept with his older brother. Then she caused a fight between the two brothers." I just nod as if I believe a word of the bullshit she's talking about.

#Mistake Number 1: NEVER speak shit to someone who's actually friends with the victim.

"She goes around playing the victim, but she's the one causing the mess."

#Mistake Number 2: NEVER piss off the friend of the victim.

"And now she wants to come and start shit with me..." Her words are cut off the sound of the bell ringing. I don't even bother to ask what she said. Then reality hits me.

Today Elena was actually happy. How am I going to tell her. I know it's my responsibility to tell her before this rumor catches anymore flies but I also do not want to ruin her perfectly flawless mood. Well....shit.....I'm officially....

My thoughts are cut off when I hear a very familiar voice...... Sara.
Great....just....freaken.....great. "What happened to Elena." Seriously is she really going to ask her that.

De'arra starts explaining the story again, just as another blood sucking thorn pops out. Oh great, how about we get some cake and call it a party.

#Mistake Number 3: NEVER gossip about shit that don't add up in front of the victim's friend.

I have to tell her. I rushed downstairs and luckily I see Keisha who happens to be the only other person who I trust with my life. I pull her aside and explain to her exactly what happened.

"They said all that crap and it really pissed me off." I said angerily. "OK you have to calm down."

As we continue having our conversation, a familiar being puts his hands on my shoulder and turns me to face him. No! I wasn't just having a very important conversation with someone I actually want to talk to.

"We need to talk." He says as if I have an option. Well sorry, even though I may have a crush on you you are not my favourite person right now.

I roll my eyes and turn my attention back to Keisha, who has her eyebrows raised in confusion. "Okayyy?" He questions, I give him a blank stare before walking off with Teral.

"Teral, I have to tell her but I don't want to spoil her mood." She gives me a deadpan look. "Kiara, you have to tell her."

"Yeah..." I sigh. "There she is, I'm gonna do that." I walk up to my...well our locker, seeing as we both share a locker.

"Elena..."

"Hey Queenie" she says giving my her gorgeous smile. Argh great, this is going to be harder then I thought. "I need to talk to you."

"Ok, just gimmie a sec."

Once she was done shoving the last of her books into her bag, she slams the locker door shut and turns her attention to me. "So, what's up." She gives me a playful smile. This girl is going to be the death of me. I cover my face with my hands.

"OK, what's wrong?" She finally realizes that this is actually something serious. "Can we go somewhere a bit quieter?" I point towards the matric bridge. "Sure." She follows closely behind me.
"You really quiet, are you okay?", She asked.

"Ummm..." I try not look at her in the eyes.

"Okay?" She eyes me worriedly.

"Di..did you slee...ppp with Chris' brother." I try my best to get out my words without stuttering, but failed miserably. "What!!" She looks shocked and soon her shock is replaced with anger.

As I begin to explain, her anger turns into frustration and I watch as tears begin to pour down her face. Great, now I've done it. I'm officially the worst friend....no ...I'm the worse human ever.

"Elena, I'm sorry." I try to pull her into a hug, but she pushes past me and runs. I try to catch up to her, but a group of matrics block my path. Fudge! "Kiara, I have to talk to you." The same old Brandon, somehow managing to find me even when I don't want to be found.

"Not now!" I hissed and then run off in an attempt to find Elena. The sound of the bell ringing stops me in my tracks, followed by...

"Get to class!" Great now I'll never find her!

I head to class as all the guilt builds up in me.

"Don't let it show... heartless... remember." I remind my self of how I'm supposed to act at school, my words are soft enough only so that I can hear.

"Remember what he said..." I quickly become quite as I line up in front of the brown door, with the number "C2" written in black ink above. We

"You may lead in." My economics teacher orders.

I need to find out the truth because so far I can hear the entire row behind me talking about it. And only one person can tell me the truth is....Elena.
