Trying to run away from home but school is worse. Everyone eyeballed at me. I tried to hide my face, guess that didn't seem to work out. I ran as fast as possible to go to class but I got stopped at the door. "Wellll look who came to school here early." De'arra.
"Is your mommy mad or did you cry in your sleep." By every word that came out of her mouth she took a step forward as she was mocking me. "How could you be so stupid you're such a hoe. We weren't expecting that from you. I mean look at you. Why did Chris even bother with you. Now he mad, which makes me mad 'cause of your little bullshit."
"You're ugly, your hair's fake, I'm sure you even bleached yourself to look so yellow and nobody finds you attractive", she scoffed. She came closer and a loud voice planted in my ear, "You're an ugly ass piece of shit."
All of a sudden, I was cold. Shivering while she was still there. I automatically just dropped my stuff and tried to pick them up quickly. But while I was doing that, she splashed me with a tub of expired cream cheese. It was disgusting. I was about to throw up, instead I cried. I watched her turn her heel and smirked. Tears running down with cream all over me.
A few moments later, I saw Ray, "Hey! Tell ma'am I can't come to class." He whispered "I'm so sorr-" I held my hand up and he fell flat. Not a single word. I went inside the bathroom and cried. I took out the big sharp scissors and counted the new scars on the old ones. "1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6..."
Someone bangs on my door. "Don't do it! Please I beg you don't." I folded myself up and hissed "Leave me alone!" He sighed, "It's not Chris, Brian." I slowly opened the door like it was the correct password. He stared at me. Guilty.
Brian's POV:
I couldn't stand looking at her like this. She deserved the world but now stuck sitting on a toilet smelling like socks that haven't been washed for months.
"C'mon, get up." She was confused. "Do you even know that this is the girl's bathroom, right?" I rubbed my neck, but anyway it's too late. "Well I don't care, you need a friend right now."
I gave her my hand and grabbed to get up. I took her bag too just in case she forgets. She walked towards the basin to wash off, well whatever it is. I giggled, she looks at me by the mirror leaning on the wall. "And what's your problem?" She smiled. I cleared my throat and stayed away from eye contact.
I help her wipe off the mess on her curly hair. "You can wear my extra clothes if you want, I don't mind." The awkward silence begins. Her big Asian eyes was dark but still had little stars flickering. "But how are you going to practice without your clothes?" I smiled at her, "It's okay, I don't feel like going anyway."
I wiped her remaining tears on her cheek and she suddenly felt warm. She shyly blushed. I intertwined my hand onto hers, "Let me escort you to class." She slowly nodded.
Only 3 blocks away from her class. I can tell she was trying to delay time. I didn't want let her go. She would get hurt again but it was not my decision.
I let go of her hand but still continued walking slowly. The looked scared. Her body was shaking and turned pale. As I retrace my steps back to class and put my hands in my pocket.
Elena's POV:
I looked back and ran to Brian. I hugged him from behind and he pulled me around for a hug. I felt his warmth, "Thank you." I whispered as he held me tight. "It's okay, talk to me whenever you need me." I tried to let him go. I just can't.
He giggles, "You know at some point you need to let go of me." I got cold. He rolled his eyes and gave me my bag back. And I totally forgot about it.
"Smile for me?" He pouted. It's so funny when he does it but cute. No more fake smiles when he's around. He rushed me to class and I rushed inside and saw Ray was about to tell ma'am what happened. But too slow.
He opened his mouth to speak but kept quiet and sat back to his seat.I pretended that no one was in class and covered myself with my blazer. Ma'am could tell I didn't want to be bothered. Luckily she's my hockey coach so she KNOWS my emotions.
My phone buzzes and it's De'arra.
