October 1716

Edward was FINALLY done eating his meal. He equipped his weapons, first his cutlass, then his pistols.

His sword was still stained with blood from the fight previously, so he grabbed a wet cloth and wiped the blood. It was oozing off, some dripping onto some carpet below.

He walked out the door. Edward saw Mary sitting outside.

Mary was waiting for him.

"Take too long?" Mary says, arms crossed.

"Unlike you Mary, I actually swallow my food."

She rolled her eyes. Edward grinned.
Mary was a hungry bear in the table, she couldn't hide it.

"Well then Kenway, what is it you want to do?" She asked.

"We'll just..go to Kingston, I'll discuss things about last night along the way. You were one drunk knocker, Miss Read."

There is it again! He called her by her last name.

He was obviously joking. She looked at Edward.

"Why do you always call me by my last name....Kenway?"

Mary narrowed her eyes at Edward.

"See! You always call me by my last name, Kenway! Miss Read."

She groaned and rolled her eyes as he laughed to himself. Ah.. Edward, always quite the gentleman he is.

"Alright, that's enough cheek Edward."

She chuckles.

The pair made their way to Kingston.
Around them were palm trees, dense green bushes and vegetation, and wild animals, a boar passed by, making borking sounds as it ran into the bushes behind.

The wind whispered as the leaves blew, some falling down in front of them.

In the distance he saw Kingston, so large and busy.

Edward could hear the distant sounds of people talking in the market, the wagons moving filled with hay and supplies, and the seagulls on the shoreline squawking away.

In the path in the forest leading to Kingston, Edward and Mary walked silent without uttering a word, until he said something to ease the silence.

"So...lass, you got drunk last night and things kind of.. got out of hand."

Mary looked at him curious.

"Oh..God what did I do?"

She was looking pretty nervous, waiting for what Edward had to say.

"Actually you didn't do anything, you were just piss-pot drunk for the entire night. It's what happened afterwards THAT got out of hand!" He exclaimed.

"A bunch of guards back from the plantation Prins owned barged into the tavern, they were looking for us."

"They all died by my hand, quite a scene honestly. It's just what happened after that worried me."

She tuned in to what Edward is going to say.

"The bartender revealed himself to by a Templar spy. Wait, actually he called me an Assassin pig and then I killed him. I found a note on his body telling for him to kill the both of us if we arrived at his tavern. It was written by Torres himself."

He hands her the note, she reads over it. Her eyes moving as she reads it from left to right as she mutters it under her breath.

She then looks pissed.
