After about a week and a half of traveling along the coast of the New World, Captain and his crew of one-hundred and twenty-five citizens of the Jackdaw finally reached it to the Carolina's to meet Captain Thatch.
His search for medicines for the Pirate Republic was still ongoing, and last time Edward saw him, his mind and determination was locked on finding a cure for Nassau.
Disease had been rampant on the city. Rodents from Europe still carried many horrible infectious illnesses, and it spread like wildfire around the Republic. In order for their little nation to survive, they needed to address and help the people. The British and Spanish Navies were already a problem of itself, and for sure, they didn't want to be destroyed from within.
It was around nightime when the Jackdaw had finally arrived to the scene. The Queen Anne's Revenge was anchored next to the mouth of a bayou, only filled with large swampy trees reaching meters high, almost as tall as masts. The water around them was pure green, and gooey-looking. Salt water churned with the freshness of freshwater most likely turned the sorrounding area into brackish water.
Not to mention at the damp, moist filled air, with made the already body felt heat even more hotter.
The humidity was already starting to get to some of the crew, whose shirts and socks were purposely removed from their bodies in order for the sweat to circulate.
"I'm going to meet Thatch on deck, alright? You and Anne stay here," Edward orders to Mary, she nods.
"Alright, good luck.." She replies, giving him a small sweet kiss on the cheek before heading off.
Edward steps onto the deck of the bulky Queen Anne's Revenge, where Captain Thatch was standing on the bridge.
He was yelling purposely into some captured sailors from the other side, whom he had tied up on the mizzenmast, looking downwards with their mouths covered to prevent the from speaking. They could only let out muffled speaking and words to Blackbeard as he loudly ranted in their faces.
"Are you not wanted by your wives? Or your families?!"
"This all would've been over by now if you'd only heeded me warning!" Thatch exclaims, announcing to his hostages about his policy.
As for the hostages, their mouths were covered with heavy cloth. In their case, they couldn't respond at all, and just had to endure the endless banter of the infamous Blackbeard.
"Now, look at ya! Tied up like a dog and full of shame!" Thatch insults, "Your King would spit on your very being if he'd seen you in this bloody state!"
"Thatch...what are you doing? What ever happened to no violence?" Edward thinks, "Ah, to hell with it.."
Thatch slowly walks up to a man whom was tied up on the bottom of the mizzenmast, with his face in a scowl and full of anger.
The poor lad was intimidated to no end, with his whole body desperately trying to move away, but to no avail.
Thatch's gruff face was up to the nose of the hostage, scaring him endlessly.
"I only had a few terms! A few! And that was only for some bloody medicine! Yet all I get, is six...fucking...days of silence...!"
Edward hurriedly walks over to Thatch, whom had been pacing back and forth while taunting his friends.
"What the hell are you doing man? All of Charles-Towne could see this mess!" Edward hisses, looking up to see the hostaged men.
