So, this one is sorta sad and kinda short. I was trying to make one that would be sad but it was kinda hard to write. I have known three people (who I knew for years) die from cancer in like the past year and a half so I was having trouble writing it... That's why it's short. But, hope you like it! <3 Rachel

This could not get any worse. I thought to myself as I paced back and forth on the floor. “Gianna stop it! You’re making me nervous” Thomas said. I sighed. “I can’t help it!” I cried. “What’s wrong anyways? You’ve never told me…” Thomas said. I sat down in the waiting room chair next to Thomas. “I’m sorry” I said. “I thought things were better, I thought you wouldn’t have to know, I thought that everything was okay and things wouldn’t start up again” I said. Thomas looked at me. “What is it, Gianna?” Thomas asked impatiently. “Don’t keep saying these things and then not tell me what it is you’re talking about!” “I’m sorry” I said again. “This is hard to think about”

“Come on… we can get through it together” Thomas said. “My mom” I said. “She has cancer. The doctors said that they got rid of it so we thought everything was going to be okay… but now it’s back and I’m scared” Thomas took my hand. “It’ll be okay” He said. I shook my head. “No, no it won’t be” I said. “My mom does everything around the house, without my mom, everything will fall apart” “No it won’t” Thomas insisted. “The rest of your family just needs to pick up the slack a little bit so you can help your mom out” “It’s not that we don’t do anything, it’s that she does most of it. Like the cooking and half the cleaning” I said. “And other things only she can do”

“Look, I’m trying to help you out here” Thomas said. “But if you don’t want it then I can get up and leave” Thomas stood up and I grabbed his hand. “No, wait, don’t go” I said pulling him back down into the chair. “I’m sorry” I said. “This is just hard to death with all over again” I sighed and Thomas put his arm around me and kissed my head. “It’s alright” He said. “We’ll get through it together”
