Nikki and Riley McDonough

            Nikki was finally able to go meet one of her favorite bands. The band from Orlando, Florida. The band that she and her best friend knew and loved, as Before You Exit. Before You Exit was at her local mall signing autographs. There was a music store in it, called Music Your Way and Before You Exit was there signing autographs since their album had just came out earlier that day. The signing was at 5 o’clock and Nikki wanted to be their early so she and Alyssa could be one of the first few people in line. Alyssa came over at 2 o’clock so she and Nikki could get ready to go. They got to the mall an hour before the signing started; 4 o’clock. Unfortunately, almost every other fan that was going to see them had the same idea. Nikki sighed and she and Alyssa got in the back of the line.

            “This sucks” Alyssa said. Nikki nodded in agreement. “I thought we would be one of the first people here…” A few minutes later someone came and got in line behind Nikki and Alyssa. “Are you here for Before You Exit? Or just because you can’t get into the store?” The person asked. Nikki and Alyssa turned around. Standing there they saw a somewhat tall, skinny boy who looked around fifteen years old. “Before You Exit” Nikki said. “You?” “I can’t get into the store…” The boy said. “Well… and I do like Before You Exit” He added. “I’m Patrick, by the way” The boy said. “Nice to meet you” Alyssa said. “I’m Alyssa and this is my best friend Nikki” “Do you have a favorite member of Before You Exit?” Nikki asked. “Nope” Patrick said. “Do you?” “I like Braiden” Alyssa said smiling. “What about you, Nikki?” Patrick asked.

            “I like Riley…” Nikki said as she blushed and looked down. A few minutes later the other girls in the line started screaming. Before You Exit had finally came out and sat down. Alyssa and Nikki looked up from the back of the line. “Patrick!” Thomas yelled. “Come here!” Patrick got out of line and started to walk up to where Before You Exit was when Alyssa grabbed his wrist and pulled him back. “You know Before You Exit?!” She and Nikki cried. Patrick grinned and nodded. “Of course I do” He said. “I’m Connor and Riley’s younger brother, Toby” Toby took off the sunglasses he was wearing and pulled off the blonde wig. “Now do you recognize me?” Toby asked. Nikki and Alyssa just stood their staring at Toby with their mouths open. “Well, bye” Toby said. Then he ran up to where the guys where at. “Toby!” Riley cried. “What is it?” Toby rolled his eyes. “All’s a go bro” He said.

            Riley smiled and sat down and continued signing CD’s. When Alyssa and Nikki got up to the table they saw Toby standing behind Connor and Riley. “I can’t believe you fooled us” Alyssa said looking at Toby. “No one fools us…” Nikki added. Toby grinned. “Been doing this for months, it works every time” He said. “And I just use the name Patrick because it’s Connor’s middle name. I would use Riley’s middle name since it was his idea to begin with but since his middle name is Thomas and we already have Thomas, I use Patrick” “And what exactly do you do?” Nikki asked. She got her CD and looked at it. Riley had written his number down with ‘Call Me’ next to it and he signed his name below it.

            “That” Toby said pointing. “Whenever Riley sees a girl that he thinks is pretty, or that he starts to like as soon as he sees her, he’ll get me to put on my wig and sunglasses and go talk to them and see which one of the guys she likes best, if she even has a favorite in the band. And then whenever Thomas calls me over to where they’re at, I just let Riley know whether systems are a go or not and whether he can do like he did for you or just ask her out right there or not. In your case, you said you liked Riley so I told him all was a go so he did this” Toby explained. Nikki smiled and turned towards Riley. “Well in that case” She said. “Count me in” Riley smiled and nodded and then went to sign the next person’s CD as Alyssa and Nikki walked away. “We may have gotten here later than I wanted to” Nikki said. “But now, I’m glad we did”
