"If you're skating on thin ice, you might as well dance." -Anita Shreve

Honey was happy about her budding friendship with Mable as the two of them walked into their dorm rooms. She asked if she wanted to hang out with her for breakfast, and Honey agreed. They were eating quietly when the mail came, and Honeys eyes were instantly drawn Errol crashing through the air.

Everyone was looking at the red envelope that he carried. A howler. The twins had only ever received one, because one was all it took to get the message across. The familiar voice of Molly Weasley echoed across the great hall and Honey was fighting back laughter with the twins over Ron's traumatized face. When she was finished scolding the boys, the letter turned to Fred and George making them tense.

"Be good." She said, her voice going down to as if she was speaking calmly infront of them. Honey could no longer hear it, so she watched the twins reaction."I found the sweater Honey was looking for-"

With that, the letter exploded, leaving behind a small package in it's wake. Fred grabbed it and he and George headed over to where Honey sat with Mable, leaving a still frozen Ron and Harry. The noise in the great hall returned as the two made it too her. Since not many Hufflepuffs where there, they sat across from her as Fred handed her the package.

"My sweater?" She asked him hopefully. He couldn't help but grin at her.

"Indeed."

"Who's your new friend?" George asked, trying to sound casual. Mable knew they were just looking out for her, so took it upon herself to introduce herself even though they knew who she was.

Honey opened up the package to revel a plain yellow sweater that she put into her bag. The note on the inside said that she found it while folding cloths as it had gotten mixed up in the laundry. It happened often, and Honey made a mental note to thank her later on. Fred and George started to interigate Mable about if she planned on sticking around Honey or if she was going to hop around some more, making Honey roll her eyes.

Mable's answer was that she planned on sticking around, making them all smile.

Mable stayed true to what she told Fred and George, and became quick friends with Honey. Cedric gave up trying to talk to her compleatly, but no one was complaining about it. Honey appriated Mable being with her, because she can't imagine coping without her. She was hurt by Cedric betrayal, but knew that Mable wouldn't do the same.

She also started seeing more of the twins and Lee, and for the first time in a while, she felt like she had everything she needed, and that everything would be okay. That was, until things started going crazy around the school. Mrs. Norris had been petrified, then a student themselves were as well. The chamber of secrets had been opened, according to the notes left with the petrified bodies.

As December approached, Lockhart was going as far as to start a dueling club, as the weather outside became colder and colder. Everything seemed drowsy at Hogwarts, as everyone was on edge. Honey woke up one December morning, only to find that the lake had been frozen solid.

She instantly sprang out of bed, and grabbed the warmest cloths she had, and hurried to the great hall carrying a big box. Instead of going to the Hufflepuff table, she went right up to Fred and George. She passed Luna in the hallway, but she didn't wish to tag along as it was much too cold out for her.

"The lake is frozen." She stated excitedly. They couldn't help but laugh at her excitement as Lee watched her curiously. "Like compleatly."

"We didn't bring them, Honey." Fred said disappointed, knowing where she was going with that. The lake at Hogwarts had never frozen over enough for them to ice skate like Honey wanted, so they didn't bring their skates.

She adored ice skating, and during the winters made full use of the Weasley pond to do so. Honey grinned at them and slammed the box she was carrying onto the table.

"I brought them for you." She said, nearing jumping from excitement.

This was just what they needed to get out of the Chamber funk everyone was in. The two boys shared a smirk, before Fred picked Honey up into his arms, forcing her to wrap her arms and legs around him so she didn't fall, and took off towards the lake. George, who grabbed the box, was right behind them.

Fred dropped her into the snow playfully when they arrived at the lake, making her laugh. He threw himself down beside her, and George tossed them the skates from the box. Mable and Lee approached them as they started unlacing them to put them on, giving them questioning looks.

"Ice skates?" Mable asked, eyeing the suspiciously. They nodded, and Honey focused herself on unknotting one of Fred's laces that had gotten tangled up since he was having trouble.

"I have two extra pairs in there for Ron and Ginny, I'm sure they wont mind if you use them." Honey said to her and Lee, getting the knot out and continuing on to tie them.

Fred couldn't help but feel his heart swell a little, because she didn't even realize how sweet and cute she was being. She had already finished tying hers, so when she was done finishing the knot he helped her up from the ground.

Mable and Lee started to put on the extra skates that were luckily the right size, while Fred, George, and Honey raced to the lake. They looked silly trying to run in them, and Honey won the race when she glided gracefully onto the ice. The two boys didn't slow as she did, and sped off further down the lake.

Fred turned around after a second, and raced back over to Honey. He proceeded to circle around her, making her giggle and start doing graceful spins in the circle, before chasing after him.

"Those two are so perfect for each other." Mable stated to Lee, trying not to giggle herself at how cute they were.

"I totally agree. You should hear the way he talkes about her!"

"Honey too- I don't even think she realizes."

"How long do you think it will take for them to admit it?" Lee wondered, watching as Honey caught up to him.

He pulled her close, both their skates gliding perfectly in sync as he dipped her, his hand behind her neck and arm around her waist to support her. It was amazing to watch, and the two of them half expected him to kiss her, but he didn't. He wanted too, but just wasn't brave enough. She was just so beautiful, with her cheeks as pink as her lips from the cold, and snowflakes resting softly on her eyelashes. Instead he smiled and watched her with curious eyes, wondering how someone so, so perfect could possibly let him hold them that close.
