Kayla's POV
We're just standing there quietly. I break the silence, and look over at Izzy.
"Okay when are they coming?" I ask her.
"They just portaled here now , I was sent to come and get you guys. they are waiting for you guys in the front." she says and I look at Alec then back at her.
"uh ok, um Izzy Katherine should be waking up from her nap anytime now, so when she does can you feed and change her, then you can just play with her and watch her for us." I ask her and she nods.
"Yea, I'll watch her for you guys." she says and I nod. I hand her the monitor and turn back to Alec.
"Let's go see what this is about." I tell him and he nods and takes my hand and we make our way to the front. When we get there we see Lydia with some clave members there.
"Lydia whats going on?" I ask her as we walk up to them.
"Kayla, I tried to put this off, but Robert told them about her and they are upset that you guys didn't tell them." she says and we nod and turn back to them.
"Hello Justine, to what to do we owe this honor." I say to one of the clave members.
"Well how about the fact that you guys didn't bother to tell us about having a child." She says.
"We didn't know we needed to get permission or tell any one that we had a child." Alec says snarky.
"Well Mr. lightwood considering the fact that the mother has special abilities and we assume the child has also inherited those abilities, the clave feels as tho the child should be raised in Idris where it can properly develop the abilities and go on to be a great shadow hunter fighter."One of the other members says.
"Her. The baby is a girl and her name is Katherine not an it. " Alec says. Ever since we got her back, he has been extremely protective, I mean I also have who wouldn't, she's our daughter.
"Besides she will not be living in Idris, I don't care what the clave thinks is best, she's our daughter and she will live here with us. She will grow up and train here. We both did and look how we turned out." I tell them.
"Considering we didn't know what you were at the time, and now we know what she could become the clave wants her to be raised in Idris." Justine said.
"Like hell If you think we're going to let you take our daughter." Alec said and I agreed with him.
"Alec, Kayla calm down, look they aren't going to let their daughter go, is there any other way to address this without taking her away." Lydia said to the clave members.
" we'll get madam inquisitor here and see what she says." Justine says and Lydia nods, and tells us to follow her. We follow her to an empty training room.
"Lydia, we are no way in hell letting them take her." I tell her.
"I know and I'm not going to let that happen either." Lydia says and we nod. We stay in the room for a while longer to cool off, until they said Imogen was here. We go over to where she and the other Clave members are at.
