Chapter 10: Disappointment

Too sad to cry, so she smiled.

ATHENA MINERVA POV:

"I trusted you for this work, Athena" I just stared at the floor, "Look at me, Athena. What happened?" matigas at madiin na sabi ni dad sakin, I bit my lips and looked at him intently. I saw the madness at his eyes and I'm scared. I always disappoint him. Fuck, and I hate it.

"I didn't mean to--to ruined the company dad" mahinang ani ko, I heard him cursed. Napapikit nalang ako. It was been 3 months, and now I made a huge mistake. Hindi ko naman sinasadya, but I know dad won't believe my reason. My reason is now enough from what I've done to the company.

"Dad let Athena rest for a while" I heard Hermes, naramdaman ko na ang pag-alis ni dad sa harapan. Pero sa hindi pa ako nakahinga ng maayos, hangga't sa hindi ko maayos ang gusot na ginawa ko ay hindi mapapanatag ang dibdib ko. I need to fix my mess.

"Athena" I looked at Hermes and smiled, nagulat siya sa ginawa ko. "Athena..." He called me once again.

"I'm fine" tipid na ani ko at umalis ng bahay, dumiretso ako sa unit na binili ko last month. Pagkapasok ko palang sa loob, dumiretso na ako sa kwarto at humiga. Pumikit ako at inalala ang pagkakamali na hanggang ngayon ay pinagsisihan ko.

"Nasaan na ang investors?" I asked my assistant, but she stayed silent, "Cess, answer me" I said. Napansin ko ang paglunok niya bago magsalita. "A-Athena, we have a problem" bumilis bigla ang tibok ng puso ko

"W-What happened?" pinipigilan ko ang sarili na maging kabado, wala naman nangyaring masama diba? Darn.

"The investors--they are gone, Athena. They took the 20 percent of the investments we gave"

I GET MY PHONE and called Nike, " Nike Salvador speaking..."

"I need your help" I told him, "Ohh, hi Minerva. How is the vacation going?"

"Not so fucking great"

"ohhh, I heard what happened--I know what to do" I grinned, "Thank you Nike"

"For my ex" I chuckled, "Fuck you" and I heard him chuckled once again. "Your place or mine?"

Napailing nalang ako at pinatay na ang tawag, I need to find those fuckers and give them what they deserve.

"So you asked your so called ex for help?" Napatingin ako sa may pintuan and I saw Ares standing there, holding a glass of water.

"Pake mo ba?" inis na sabi ko, "'wag kana dumagdag sa problema ko, Ares" Lumapit siya sakin and messed my hair. "I never thought na pwede pa rin maging friends ang mag-ex" I rolled my eyes.

"We never been in a relationship, Ares. He courted me, nothing more nothing less" He suddenly raised his brow, and grinned. "Really, Athena?"

"Yes, how are you and Kath? I heard someone's courting her" napansin ko ang paghigpit niya ng hawak sa baso. Ohhh, Ares is mad. So mad.

"WHAT?!"

"Chill down, Ares. He is just courting Kath, di pa naman sila"I heard him cursed continously

"Don't ever say that, Athena. Don't ever" may halong pagbabanta sa boses niya, at mukhang papatay na siya ng tao. I shrugged my shoulders. "Well, whatever" and went to the kitchen. Ang saya mo talaga inisin, Ares. Your love for Kath is fuck.
