Maria finished her breakfast and we listened to the sounds of my father getting ready for the day. Soon he came downstairs and straight to the kitchen.
"Good morning princess," he greeted. He didn't even notice Maria.
"Good morning dad. You have a present at the table," I replied. He was starting to turn towards the table.
"Pres-" he started before he saw Maria. He looked like he could have a heart attack before going over and hugging her. Maria and I decided that we'll wait until later to tell him about Jace. They started talking and I was finishing up dinner. Soon Caleb entered with Caroline and he stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Maria. She stood and Caroline looked so confused.
"What's wrong? Who is she?" Caroline asked.
"Mom?" Caleb said.
"Hello son it's very nice to see you again," Maria confirmed. Soon it was all hugging with some crying. After about three hours I finally decided to actually go to work. I stood up to leave and everyone looked weary of me.
"I have to go to work now. Also dad remember to introduce her to the alpha's kid," I said before walking out.
