Rose

"So you've got his medication until the third of January, right?" Caroline asked me while she grabbed Zayn's already packed suitcase and placed it next to the door.

I nodded, "Yeah, from today's date until the third of January. Does he have to take his medication for the afternoon here or at home?"

Caroline blew a loose strand of hair out of her face, "I think at home. His mother should be here any minute. Zayn, hurry up!" She yelled to him as he was still taking a shower.

I didn't exactly know how he was feeling today. I hadn't really spoken to him after our phone call, which I loved, by the way. When I came here, he was already in the shower.

"Is he ready for it?" I decided to ask Caroline. She had been with him from the moment he woke up after all.

Caroline shrugged slowly, "I don't know honestly. He threw up in the middle of the night, but when he woke up he told me he was really excited to be home. He just wasn't really looking forward the journey. It'll be really tiring for him."

"Yeah, I can understand.." I sighed sadly and placed another bag full of beanies from Zayn next to his backpack.

"But I know you'll take very good care of him. He's told me several times that he's so happy you're there with him. He really likes you, Rose." She whispered the last part and I couldn't help but blush.

It was the first time Caroline told me that with confidence, but I already knew it because of the kiss of course.

Me and Zayn still hadn't talked about the kiss and I didn't know if I was happy about it or not. I really didn't want to ruin things, I was scared he'd tell me it wasn't his intention at first. It would hurt me because my feelings grew extremely strong for him after our kiss.

But maybe he felt the same about it. Maybe he didn't want to talk about it because he'd be scared that I would tell him I didn't mean to do it either.

I sighed, it was a slight difficult situation. I just wondered if I could kiss him again.

"I guess." I replied quietly. Caroline gave me a cheeky smile and we both looked up when the bathroom curtain was being shoved away.

Zayn was dressed in some denim jeans with a big red hoodie. His cheeks were flushed red from the hot water and his bald head was almost shining because of the bright light above him. He was looking as handsome as ever.

His lips curled into a smile when he saw me, "Hey."

"Hey." I answered, giving him a smile back. I played with my fingers and watched him as he grabbed his black beanie and pulled it over his exposed head and ears. "Are you excited?"

Zayn walked over to his bed and sat down on it, looking up at me as I stood near him, "Yeah, definitely. Can't wait to sleep in my own bed." He chuckled, "What about you? Are you nervous?"

"No, I'm not nervous." I chuckled, "Why? Should I be?" I playful raised my eyebrow and he immediately reacted to that.

He wiggled his eyebrow, "Oh yeah. Definitely. My family is scary and maybe I'm completely someone else when I'm at home."

"I met your parents and little sister already, Zayn. There's nothing to be scared of and you being someone else while at home? What do I have to expect? A mysterious bad boy?" I couldn't help but laugh. I couldn't imagine what he'd be like if he would act like a bad guy.

"Of course." Zayn grinned.

I nodded, "Sure, says the guy who's afraid of the dark." I said to him only so Caroline didn't hear.
