The next day...

I wake up at carries house on the couch. I hear the noise of an obnoxious cartoon talking.

Sponge bob.... Guess I gotta get used to this with a kid, huh?

"Good morning." I say looking up at Abby.

"Morning." She replies.

"Do you wanna go see your mom today?" I asked.

"Yeah actually. I was just going to ask you that." Abby says laughing.

"Let's go now. She's allowed to come home today." I say.

Abby and I get into my truck and we drive to the hospital. We get to the hospital and we go to carries room.

She's awake.

"Good morning. How ya feeling?" I ask Carrie.

"Good actually. I'm ready to come home!" She says laughing.

"Well I'm glad you and the baby are okay." I say smiling.

I look at Abby and she comes walking to me smiling. I pull her into me for a tight hug.

"Oh, Abby... I'm so sorry." I say to her smiling.

"My sweet Abby..." I say rushing my fingers through her hair.

"I'm glad your okay." Abby says.

"Me too. Are you excited to have a sibling?" I ask worried.

"Yeah, I am actually!" Abby says with a huge smile.

Few hours later...

We walk in the door to the house and I plop on the couch. I turn on the tv and E! news was on.

"Carrie underwood was in a car accident. Thankfully, we heard she's doing alright and she returns home today." The lady on tv said.

I quickly flip the station and put on law & order: SVU. One of my favorite shows.

"How did they hear about that?" Mike asked me.

"It's more like, what don't they know babe..." I respond back to him.

"Well I'm gonna go food shopping. There's not much to eat in the house. Well at least Abby was complaining about it before." Mike says with a chuckle.

"Can I go?" Abby asks.

"Sure kid." Mike says to her.

"Well I'm gonna go shower and stuff. I'll probably go to the spa for a massage or something. So umm.... I'll see ya both later then." I say.

"Just be careful. We shouldn't be long." Mike tells me.

"Alright, I'll call ya when I'm home." I say.
