it's all about you

You connected my stars into constellations, which the geniuses of the wide world would ponder upon ages after ages. You stole my scars and flaws onto the palette of yours to paint murals on church walls, so that they are evermore enveloped by the sweet scent of prayers and pleasure. You scattered my faults into crackling fire to pull me out of the dark abyss of my insecurities.

You wrote of me on the spines of books and ears of pages. You sang about me to your kids on nights they couldn't sleep.

They say, if you fall in love with a writer, you will never die. But it's you, O you, who has kept me alive today. Kept me breathing tonight.
