stargazing

'You're a star,' you whispered under

The canopy of those above us

And I couldn't help but wonder

How they shine long after they've left,

How their light carries on endless

Beyond their little, lost lives.

Your hand in mine, I smile knowing I'm a star too

That my light will kiss your soul drunk

If I ever have to leave before you.

And if someday you get to witness my end

Among the shooting stars,

I hope I'll carry your wishes and prayers

On my withering, burning dust

And pour them down on the morning sun

That kisses you the next morning.

[ inspired by "saturn" by sleeping at last. music video attached. please listen it to the end. :') ]
