internet love

In the age of Internet,
I found a love in the
Crowded lanes of
#Hashtags,
Feeling happy with 39 others,
Unsent messages
And breakups done in
140 characters of a tweet.

In the age of Internet,
We were two lost people
Getting connected
Through the servers
And towers standing
In the hearts of the cities
Holding pieces of ourselves.

In the age of Internet,
We forgive last seen
And blue-ticked messages.
We make love through
The radio silence on phone calls.
We go on dates to the cafe
Called Skype Video Calls,
Folders full of goofy selfies
And edited pics of both of us in the frame
Of our Google Drive accounts.

Some days, driving back home
Doesn't need Google Maps,
It just needs a phone call from you,
No words, just a simple 'I love you'.
Today, I booked my flight tickets
By MakeMyTrip and promised
A playlist of our favourite songs
And turning kissing emojis into real ones.

You smiled in Skype call and in turn, promised,
"This time, no more love under
The sheets of Internet.
It'll be just love under the stars,
You and me."
