she kept her maiden name.
~they have three kids.
the oldest: jonathan byers.
the middle: william byers.
and the youngest: eleven hopper.
~will and el are twins.
~the kids got to pick which last name they wanted to keep.
~joyce wanted to keep her name, so she thought the kids should have that as an option as well.
~jonathan thought it'd be simpler to have his mothers name.
will just followed along, wanting to keep it simple.
el wanted to be different in any way she could.
she took hopper as her last name.
~bob and lonnie also don't exist.
everything else is consistent with the original Stranger Things.
~eleven has powers.
~jim hopper is the police chief.
~they go to hawkins high school.
