"DO YOU FEEL... tense?"
Chloe stared at her untouched cereal in front of her, meeting the eyes of her cousin once he looked up from his own.
Alex furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?"
A moment passed. "I mean, I could just be paranoid ever since Sam, Wanda, and Scott left, but... I don't know. I just feel―"
"―On edge?" Alex guessed, placing his spoon on the table. "Like something's about to happen."
Chloe nodded, starting a staring contest with her cereal. "Like something's... coming, if that makes sense."
Her cousin hummed, looking out the windows to see innocent Manhattan civilians going about their daily lives. "You don't think it's another alien invasion, do you?"
She shrugged, playing around with her food. "I don't know. I just feel like something big is about to happen. Could just be my imagination."
