As we head to pop's Jug looks over at me. "Mari, are you ok?" Jug asks
"Yeah, I just hope Dad isn't having a hard time." I say as we all walk into pop's and take a seat at the booth
"King will be ok"
"Who?" Jug and I ask in sync
"Your dad." Fangs says
"Why do you call him king?" I asks
"Because he's the leader of the serpents. Why do you think I call you princess?" Sweetpea asks as he throws his arm around my shoulders
"I have no clue. I thought it was only a nickname." I say as as Pop walks up to us.
"Hello sunshine, how are you feeling?" Pop asks
"Better then I was. My dad said you wanted to talk to me about something"
"Aha yes I do but, it can wait. What would you guys like?" Pop asks with a bright smile
"Two chocolate shakes for Archie and I." Jug says
"I'll have a vanilla shake" Veronica says
"I will too." Fangs says
"I'll have a strawberry shake with caramel sauce" Betty says
"I'll have a chocolate too pop." I say with a smile. "What do you want Sweets?" I ask
"I'll have a chocolate shake." Sweetpea says as he wraps his arm around my shoulders.
"Ok so that's two vanilla shake. One strawberry shake and four chocolate."
"You always amazing me Pop Tate." I say with a smile
"Why thank you sunshine. He says with a smile as soon as he comes back to our table he notices the scarf. "What happened to your neck sunshine?"
"Reggie choked her." Archie says quietly
"That boy is going to get himself in Jail."
"Dad is going to sheriff Keller to tell him what's going on.
"That's good. Well I have some tidying up to do. Call me if you need anything." Pop says with a smile as he walks behind the counter
"I like pop. His a great guy."
"He and this place are are the hearts of Riverdale." Jug says as I put one hand on my neck.
"He won't be hurting you anymore." Sweetpea says
"M, can I talk to you outside." Betty asks
"Sure." I say as we get up and walk outside. "What's going on B?"
"Why are they with you?"
"Who?" I ask
"The serpents"
"You mean Sweetpea and Fangs and they are here because my dad wants them to keep me safe."
"But, your safe on the northside."
"Obviously not with Reggie and I like sweets. He's not that bad of a guy once you get to know him."
"He's a serpent!!! He's nothing but, bad news. God your better off with Reggie"
"I'm better off with a guy who beats me?! What type of friend are you?! You rather see me beaten black and blue than happy?!"
"But, he's a Southsider." Betty says
"I'm a Southsider Betty I live on the Southside and...."
"And your dad is a criminal."
"Excuse me?"
"All Southsiders are criminals."
"What about me and Jug? Are we criminals? Huh Cooper? Are we?" I ask
"No.... I...."
"Forget it. I don't want someone in my life who thinks I'm just a criminal." I say as I walk back into Pop's
"Mari, are you ok?" Archie ask
"Yeah, apparently I'm a criminal because I live on the Southside. Fangs, Jug, Sweets. Let's get out of here. Us Southsiders shouldn't be on the northside because we'll just do something illegal. Right Cooper?" I say as I finish my drink and pay for Jug, Sweets and Fangs before walking out of Pop's and hop on Sweet's bike and drive to the Whyte Wyrm...
