Catherine's POV

It had been a day since Catherine had found on Dachande knew her mother, she was trying to find where he was but no one was helping her. It made her a little anxious to think if Mas'T-Eall had told him- it wouldn't surprise her if he did.

Though something else had also happened, she learned they were going to a planet. Because something about the fuel of the ship being low apparently a small group of Yautja lived on the planet. And the clan was going to buy off some fuel so they could leave the planet.

She had just finished a bath and was currently changing in her room. She was wearing a fur dress outfit which went to her knees and was a pale brown. Once she was done Catherine left the room and looks around for Elder Dachande hoping maybe she could speak with him today.

With no luck once again, she sighs and heads for the Mess Hall. It seemed more crowded then usual inside as Catherine looks around not spotting any of the Yautja she normally sits with. She turned around narrowing her eyes slightly then sees Dachande walking.

Catherine approached him having a quick pace, "Elder Dachande." She says and he turns to her and clicked his mandibles. "Hello Catherine, how are you?" He greets.

"Good thanks, also, I needed to talk to you." She says making him slightly narrow his eyes but nodded slowly. "Alright about what?"

She looked around for a second, "just privately."

He pauses for a second then nodded once again. They both ended up in her room as Catherine sat on the edge of her bed with slightly crossed arms.

"You knew my mother." She bluntly said as Catherine wasn't in the mood to do any 'small talk' or something like that.

There seemed to be some surprise that went through the Elder's eyes and he looks at Catherine now with unreadable eyes. "What would give you that idea?"

She took in a small breath "I saw a photo. Of you, my mother and some other Yautja. I was also in the photo Elder Dachande." This time he looked a little curious and thought for a few seconds before he spoke again.

"I have more important matters to address." He grunted and stands up from where he was seated.

Catherine intercepted him with a hard stare. "I need an answer."

Dachande growls clearly not liking the situation. He looked like he was going to say something but pauses still looking down at the smaller ooman.

"It's complicated.." he started reluctantly then cut off what he said. "The child isn't you, the mother isn't yours Catherine."

She thinks about what he had said for a few moments, she could possibly by overreacting. By the fact that Catherine hadn't seen her family in such a while it was taking its toll? Yes, that had to be it as it was the only logical explanation.

Without her response Dachande got past her "I have much more important matters then this right now." He left the room leaving Catherine to sigh to herself and rubbed her forehead.

"Of course I never knew him." She said to herself and left the room after a little bit and walked down the hallway. She didn't see anyone in interest to speak to and eventually came to the hanger.

Once she entered the room there was a rush of hot air making her a little stunned. Catherine took a few deep breaths and looked around seeing some buildings outside and other Yautja.

She felt a hand on her shoulder and looks behind her seeing NightClaw. "Why are you out here?" He curiously asks tilting his head slightly.

"Just looking around." Catherine said adding a small shrug with her voice when she was talking. He nodded, "This is Planet Zarren." He says with a click of his mandibles as she looked at the scenery outside.

The area looked like a desert, coloured deep red with several pale sandstone buildings. It seemed down the streets were several 'marketplaces' where different Yautja seemed to be selling things.

She was going to leave the ship but NightClaw stopped her, "You can't leave. It's not safe." He said making her cross her arms slightly glancing back outside then back to him. "C'mon... I need some fresh air every once in awhile." She pouted and looks at him.

NightClaw would sigh and looks down then back at her "you will stay close to me, do not wander off." He seriously said and walks down the ramp leading to the ground as Catherine followed. She was wearing along with the fur dress some sandals. She walked into the sand and instantly jumped back, the sand was hotter then she originally thought it would be.

He turns to her clearly confused, "what's the matter?"

"It's just pretty hot." Catherine said and stepped back onto the sand and walked around, following behind him. They both came to the market, which between the streets were canopies above shielding the Yautja from the sun. She would look at the Yautja selling all the things then how some would look in her direction looking quite interested.

She could feel nervousness rise in her throat and walked up beside NightClaw instead of being behind him.

Everything had been going good, NightClaw had purchased a few different types of food that he had her try. They actually turned out to be some of the most delicious food Catherine had ever tasted, her favourite food was sushi and this stuff was just as good. Though when NightClaw was purchasing something else she felt someone literally right behind her and turns to see a large Yautja looking at her.

Catherine didn't say anything for a second; "you probably don't understand me but-"

"I can perfectly understand your foreign tongue." He grunts making her be lost for words again. First she was wondering why he was even talk to her, and how did he know English? She knew for a fact not many Yautja could speak or even understand English or any other language on Earth.

The large male made a quiet growl as he clicks his mandibles a few times. "I've never seen an ooman here before. Why are you here?"

The human women had seemed slightly uncomfortable st the question he had asked her. She couldn't just say she was the saviour to his kind, it probably wouldn't go over well. For now she had stayed silent, so wrapped up in her own thoughts she didn't see he was growing impatient.

That was until the large predator grabbed her arm making her turn to NightClaw so he could leave her alone. "You know what you are, correct?" He growls making her look back at him being confused.

"Ohh you don't know. That's a little shocking actually."

Catherine stared at him "what are you talking about?" She asks quietly, turning to face him fully.

He looks around the area and let go of her arm "just come by the alley tonight." With that he had turned and left, going down the crowded streets until she lost view.

She jumped a little when NightClaw had went to her with a new type of food. "It's a Yautja delicacy." He simply said as she was handed what looked like a cupcake. Catherine tried it which it tasted like a chocolate browny with fudge, caramel and nuts on it. She smiles as she chewed it "wow, that's amazing."

The two had came back to the ship about an hour later, they had stumbled upon a clothing store where NightClaw allowed Catherine to buy a few things. She had bought some shoes, outfits and some jewellery.

Now, she was back in her room thinking about something. It was about what that male in the streets had said about what she was. Catherine knew it was most definitely a bad idea but she was curious. She had found that photo and felt like the two ideas had to have been connected one way or another.

With that she had her decided she would meet him in the alley.

Wellllllll that's the chapter :) sorry I haven't posted in awhile I didn't know what to write for this but now I had a pretty solid idea. Perhaps this will be a double chaps day but I doubt it.
