I slowly feel my normal skin color restore as I feel tears threaten to leave my eyes. My heart shatters when I see him cradle his father's limp body onto his lap. He whispers a small prayer into his ear as a final goodbye.

The fire and rescue finally came got everyone out. T'Challa sits on a bench with his father's ring in his hands. His face droops with sadness but there isn't anything I can do. He won't look at me or speak to me so I decide to just lean against the tree and watch the firemen work.

"Do not worry Ms. Romanoff, I will kill him myself." I hear T'Challa say.

He walks passed the red haired woman and stopped when he saw me. He just stared at me, as if I was going to disappear before his eyes again. I fold my arms across my stomach and fixate my eyes on the ashes on the ground.

"Shuri wants the both of you to go to her lab to check for any injuries." Okoye states.

T'Challa nods before he walks to the limo. I still leaned against the tree and I look at her with sad eyes. She approaches me and asks:

"How bad are your cuts? Are you alright?"

She pushes my face to the side as she continue to check for any major injuries.

"dit is genoeg, Okoye." I say while pushing her hands away.
(That's enough, Okoye)

"wat is fout?" She asks.
(What is wrong)

I release a slow breath before I say:

"Hy het uitgevind."
(He found out)

"Hy het uitgevind wat?"
(He found out what?)

I stare up at her and my face says it all. She sighs with sadness as I say:

"And now he doesn't trust me anymore. He called my liar."

I clench my jaw as I gaze down at the ground.

"He'll come around." She reassures.

"I don't think that'll happen anytime soon." I say.

She cups my face into her cheeks and wipes away the single tear that escaped my eyes.

"Hy weet nie wat jy deurgemaak het nie en hy het geen reg om te oordeel nie. Jy is my dogter en jy is 'n sterk, Wakandan-vrou." She states.
(He doesn't know what you have been through. You are like my daughter and you are a strong Wakandan woman)

I hold my breath to prevent myself from breaking down in her arms.

"Nie meer trane nie." She adds.
(No more tears)

She lifts me up chin before walking me to the limo.

T'Challa and I walk into Shuri's lab, where we are both pulled into a hug.

"Oh my God guys! I didn't know what to think when I heard about the bombing at the Vienna meeting." She states as she pulls away from us.

T'Challa and I keep our distance from each other. Shuri notices and raises an eyebrow at us. I hold my other arm in m hand and kick my foot at the floor. The room remained silent until Shuri asks:

"Okay what's going on between the two of you?"

"Nothing." T'Challa and I say in unison.

"You two are the world most terrible liars. Sit down and let me examine you." She commands.

She disinfects our wounds and places bandaids on them. As soon as she is done with T'Challa, he leaves the room.

"Where are you going, my Prince?" Okoye asks.

"I am going to kill the man who murdered my father." He says over his shoulder.

He tried to walk passed her, but she held out her arm and stopped him.

"And you're planning on doing this on your own?" She asks.

"Yes, because apparently the only person I can trust is myself." He adds as he looks at me.

I break eye contact and fixate my eyes on the ground.

"Okay this has been going on long enough. Sit down." She commands.

T'Challa walks back into the room and folds his arms across his stomach.

"If I couldn't save him, I can at least avenge him. For my family and this country." He says.

"It wasn't your fault." Shuri states.

"You're right, it wasn't my fault.. it was hers." T'Challa says, motioning to me.

"What? How is it my fault?" I ask.

"Because I could have saved him, he could still be alive right now if it wasn't for you."

"What the hell are you talking about? I saved you life, T'Challa. If hadn't taken you down when I did, this country would have lost it's King and it's Prince." I defend.

"Well I'd rather be with my father right now instead of living with the thought that my best friend didn't let me save my father." He stages.

"He was already gone! He was in the point of origin of the bomb. There was no way he would have survived that. He was dead on impact, okay? I knew I couldn't save him, and it hurt like hell that I couldn't. But I had to make a call. And I think I made the right call, despite what you think." I say.

T'Challa clenches his jaw as he looked at me.

"And you lied to me. My best friend of whom I've known since I was a child, couldn't tell me who she really..." He trailed off once he realizes that Shuri is still in the room.

I scoff and say:

"Unbelievable."

"Wait, what did she lie about? What happened?" Shuri asks.

"Nothing." Okoye, T'Challa and I say in unison.

"Listen you two, I know you are upset with each other-"

"And with good reason." T'Challa interrupts.

I roll my eyes at his words.

"You need to set your differences aside and work together to avenge our King. Whether you like it or not, you two know each other better than anyone else in this world. You can practically read each other's minds when you are in battle. You know each other's tactics like its the back of your hand. You are Wakanda's only hope." Okoye states.

T'Challa and I briefly make eye contact. There was silence once again, until T'Challa says:

"Suit up, we leave in twenty."

And with that, he leave the room. I blow air into my cheeks and link my hand on top of my head.

Well this is going to be a fun day.
