World is full of machinations
It jibes at you
It goes straight for your jugular
And leaves you in melancholyPeople aren't mellifluous
If you think otherwise
You better get a monocle
And fasten your seat beltJust like they do to a moose
They will hunt you down
If you get loose
So you better lay downIf they offer you food
You better nibble
It's for your own good
And watch out for pebblesThey try to nobble
Don't fall for it
Believe me, they aren't noble
You better jiltPeople are two-faced
So you better tighten your lace up
Get prepared to be raced
If not, they'll swallow you upThey are uppity
They don't play fair
They don't show pity
They'll lure you into their lairPeople are like hawks
They pick on your weak points
So don't just gawk
And tighten up your jointsThey don't play Cupid
So when they hold up an arrow
Don't be stupid
You better jump into your burrowYou think I'm overacting
Don't be stupid
I'm not trying to increase my rating
I'm no CupidNow, look at me
Trying to rhyme
I'm at my prime
And that's no crime...."The world isn't a paragon and neither am I." - Deepika42
