"A Love like this can make you selfish"Yushi

"I'm coming over and I am going to get you a man by the hook or the crook" Trish sternly told me over the speaker phone.
"Also Trisha is pregnant for Joe"  I could imagine her rolling her eyes dramatically and I couldn't help but  rolled my eyes too, receiving a raised brow from Jeremy.
"You're on speaker and No. God. Almighty way!" I exclaimed.
Trisha is Trish's twin sister, who ran away from home in high school. Joe is her uncle's adoptive son, but not legally. He just raised him for a friend. Trish's parents gave up Trisha to her uncle Danny to grew  since she was a troubled child.
In high school, Trisha skipped class, skipped school, skipped exam, skipped flue shots, skipped contraception methods and skipped pregnancy... A lot.
Her parent gave her up to her uncle Danny in New Orleans to raise. Since then Trisha went to evening classes learned a trade in mechanic and sewing, got certificate but that was just for two years. For the remaining six years: Trisha steal from her uncle, Trisha held up her uncle's wife  aunt Vivine with a gun, sold her uncle's car, rent  her room, fought with Joe on various occasions, sent him to jail for domestic abuse and now... Now she was pregnant for him.
Poor Danny.
"Yea Joe wants to move out with Trisha, in fact they finally kicked Trisha out" Trish told me.

"I could see why your mother grew you so trapped" I mumbled.
"I'm not like Trisha, I'll never be her" She mumbled with a hate filled voice.

Just one small piece to the story, when Trisha ran away, she ran away pregnant with Trish's boyfriend.
"I know that, they know that, they just want to make sure you never turn out like her" I told her leaning back into Jeremy's arms on the couch. He was currently brushing my hair.

"She called me for help" Trish laughed humorlessly. "According to her sources I ran away and married a rich man"

"Are you going to help her?" I asked hoping she would. She was her sister after all and one can't turn their backs on family.

"No, after all she did to me? I want her to stay far away from me and my family" she said warningly.

I felt when Jeremy phone vibrated on the couch, he shuffled and then answer the call.

"Yes?" He asked getting up going into my bed room.

I took the chance to get up and walked into the bathroom closing my self in there.
"Well be prepared you know how Trisha can be, don't be surprised if she showed up at your door steps"

"Enough about her" Trish sighed, "that girl was bashed on Facebook by larra's family"

I closed my eyes tightly, I didn't even want to hear about her Facebook comments anyone.
Have you ever had that tired feeling where just hearing about someone brought bad memories back to you and ruin your day? That's how I felt about Suzet Facebook post. She wasn't a good person then why did I expected her to be now?

"Enough about her, I am tired of her" I sighed while massaging my forehead. I was already sleeping with her man everyday and I know that is bringing her enough pain. I mean who wouldn't? Your pregnant, engage, and everyday after work you come home to another empty house. Where is he? Who is he with? What is he doing?
You wait up for hours and he came home at 1-2 am giving you bogus excuses or worst not answering your questions at all. You are loyal, he isn't. That's the biggest disrespect a woman can ever get.
Lying next to a man who had full fill his desire with another woman. The same man you love and gave your all too. The same man who you're supposed to say I do to. The same man who you're going to start a family with. That said man eventually stop coming home at nights.

"Aren't we all tired of someone?" Trish more likely asked than stated. Just then a knock came on the door.

"Jeremy?" I asked.
"I gotta go, I'll be back later" he told me.
"Alright" I told him suddenly feeling depress.
It was obvious she called him, she wanted him and Jeremy just didn't have it in him to say no. I unlocked the door and saw his sad brown eyes and  wild bed hair. He was already dressed in white jeans black T and his signature brown boots.
He saw the look in my eyes and I couldn't help but wonder if this was like the last time. The last time he said he'll be back and didn't show up until three months later.

Unconsciously I tipped toed and passionately kissed his lips, just in case this might be our last one. He held me gently by the hips and closed his eyes and asked.
"What are we?" He asked.
Everything.
"Nothing" I whispered the answer I knew was best for his ears.
"No feelings attached?" He asked opening his deep chocolate brown eyes looking at me, searching my eyes with deep intensity  carefully.
I closed my eyes, "no feelings attached" I lied.
He released me and slowly walked towards the door, and I followed  him instinctively, resting on the door frame in my shorts and t-shirts watching him descending the steps.

"Don't close the door, I'll be back" he said turning  back to look at me.
I nodded my head an OK.
"Close the door Kam, and let that guy out of your life for good" Trish said in a sense of urgency. I waved at him one last time and watched as he disappeared down the road before I closed the door.
"Oh shut up" I told her heading to my bed.
I thought that night would be a lonely night, I thought she would hold onto him like a leech and never let him go, But as I cuddled up under the thick warm blankets while the rain poured cats and dogs outside and the thunder and lightening fought across the sky I was comforted by thick warm manly hands that made me feel small and secure. It was obvious that, that night he came back, even though he was drunk and passed out next to me on my bed.
