WORDS OF THE LIVING

(THE SEA)

Water, waves
Windy days
At the sea
Comfort me
The sights in my eyes
Met by the lonely skies
A deep blue
The sand, a golden hue
Powdered, pure
All around the Yorkshire moors
Crumbs, beneath my feet
Trying to pack the surfboards into the backseat

As the waves come up to greet
Collecting rounded rocks, sea shells and seaweed
Put our treasures in plastic buckets
Our hands in the water waves

As the waves come up to greetCollecting rounded rocks, sea shells and seaweedPut our treasures in plastic bucketsOur hands in the water waves
