WORDS OF THE LIVING(OLD PHOTOGRAPHS)
Stained pages
Crinkled corners
Holds the precious, printed pictures
The memories
That they hold dear
As although their occupants are near
Within touching distance
But the paper offers much resistanceTheir smiles do beam
A gentle, warming look
A slow, uplifting theme
Trapped within a thick, aging bookThe fragile photos
Contained within an album
A backing track they have composed
And the recollection shall comeThe yellowed papers
Are restored
Not in the delicate layers
But in the mind
