[Annas POV]
"Anna you have to go you don't have a choice the principal made that clear"-Kenzie said trying to convince me but it wasn't working
"I don't want to go"-I said closing my eyes as I laid there in bed "it's stupid"
"No it's not it's for charity"-Kenzie said holding onto my arm as she tried to persuade me
"And what am I gonna help by going I'll send my money with you when you do and you can give it to the charity booth"-I huffed crossing my arms
"You have to go to the fundraiser you don't have a choice I don't have a choice no body has a choice"-Kenzie argued
"Exactly..he's gonna be there and I think I'm doing both of us a favor by not showing up"-I protested
"Do you really believe that"-Kenzie asked as she tilted her head down a bit
"....it's what he wants"-I said barely above a whisper as I got up and walked up to my dresser
"Do you want to know why he left why he's avoiding you"-Kenzie asked as she sat there on my bed
"I don't know"-I said looking down fiddling with the handle on the dresser drawer
"Cause....I know why he left"-Kenzie said and immediately my head lifted and I looked at her in the mirror with glossy eyes
"Y-you Do"-I asked stuttering as I turned around to look at her and she slowly nodded "no...I don't want to know"
"Why"-she asked tilting her head in confusion
"Because...if I know why he left then I'm gonna fix that...and a wise person once told me not to change for any one especially a boy.
Flashback
"Anna promise me in high school you won't meet a guy and change"-Kenzie said as she gripped my shoulders "you don't need to change for anyone especially a boy"-she added before pulling me into a hug
End of flashback
"Well then are you going"-Kenzie asked trying to convince me again
"Is he gonna be there"-I asked
"It's mandatory"-she said in a duh tone
"Then no"-I said leaning against the dresser
"Well...you can show up looking hot and then make him regret avoiding you"-Kenzie said winking as she opened my closet door festering for me to walk in
"Fine"-I said smiling and walking into my closet
"What's the theme..."-I asked gliding my hand across all my dresses before stopping and looking at Kenzie
"Black and red"-she said "and it's two nights which means..."-she said walking over to the black and red color coordinated part of my closet "you get to where both"-she added smiling
"Perfect"-I said walking over to her and looking at all my dresses
"Are you going with a date"-she asked me as I looked through the variety of dresses
"Probably not unless one of the boys doesn't have a date then I'll be theres"-I said still looking at the dresses "I presume your going with Ethan"-I asked
"Yeah"-she said smiling and helping me look for a dress
"Do you already have a dress"-I said trying to continue our conversation
"Maybe"-she said smirking at me "oh and don't forget we have that fall banquet in a few weeks"-she said as I sighed
"Well...that's gives us reasons to get dressed up"-I said trying to brighten up the mood
"Good way to look at it"-Kenzie said laughing.
Honestly if I hadn't had Kenzie here to help me I probably wouldn't leave my house or laugh or smile....she a true best friend.
