       moonlight shining down,

bathing me in her soft glow.

blood is dripping down the windows,

coating it with its pain.

       the sun is dead,

along with my heart.

perhaps this gold will set fire,

and never rust.

        moonlight shining down,

bathing me in her soft glow.

she is screaming, with hot tears of fury,

cascading down her pale face,

she is nothing like the girl i love,

and perhaps, that's a good thing.

       moonlight is toxic,

and fills up my lungs with fake promises.

this fairy dust envelopes my body,

glittering and burning my skin blue.

she is waiting at the end of the door,

her hands coated red just like the window.
