after having a long and hard and very frustrating conversation with jack.

we decided on letting marissa stay for awhile.

just until we figure things out.

"babe, what if she's like lying about like everything?" he asked.

"jack, she wouldn't do that. she's not." i spoke.

"okay.. yeah.. alright." he smiled and kissed me.

"this will be okay." i reassured him.

he nodded knowing as well that it would.

i walked back downstairs to see marissa asleep on the couch.

i walked over and noticed how much she looks like my- our mom.

she has the same hair, eyes, nose. she reminds me of her.

i miss her

i grabbed the blanket from the top of the couch and put it on top of her and turned the lights off.

then i walked back upstairs to jacks room.

i never really sleep in my room, i sleep with jack like every night anyways.

my clothes and stuff are just in my room.

i sat next to him. "she was sleeping"

"are you really okay?" he asked.

"no.. i mean my dad's in a hospital dying. and i'm here with my sister i didn't even know i had." i sighed and leaned my head on his chest.

he just played with my hair

"i wish i could make everything better for you" he said.

"but how are you?" i asked.

"don't worry about me" he said.

"but i do, i always worry about you"

"i love you for that" he said and placed a kiss on my head.

i sighed and closed my eyes.

falling into a deep sleep.

i woke up the next morning and changed into a casual look so i could see my dad today.

if they'd even let me..

i walked downstairs and saw marissa sitting up on the couch and just staring at the ground.

"you okay?" i asked her.

her head lifted up at me.

"oh.. yeah, yeah. all good." she smiled.

"but look, i'm really sorry about last night. i just, i didn't know what to do." she sighed.

"you can stay here for as long as you'd like, until we can figure out for you." i said.
