Chapter 21

"Hello?"

I hear Dawn answer the phone and look over to Erin.

"What does gay mean?"
Erin's face goes red as I ask this. What? Was it bad or something?
She sits next to me as Dawn talked on the phone.

"Ehhhhhh... It's...uhhh...ask your mum when you get home ye'h. Don' mind weird fhings I say alrigh'..."
She seemed quick to change the subject.
"Now, lets see what else you know?"

"Are you serious!?"
Dawn practically shouting making everyone in the room look at her.

"Wot 'appened?"
Erin asked before Dawn shushed everyone as she nodded.
"Okay so what's this got to do with me?"
Both Erin and I tried our best to listen in to the voice from her phone, between the arguing outside the door it was hard to hear correctly. And the conversation.
The voice kinda sounded like mum's voice. Screaming and yelling and frantic like.
"Right, right...i'll let you chat with her."

Dawn then proceeds to hand me the phone.

"Hello?"
I answered softly and curiously.

"Hey, Starshine."
It was mum...her voice sounded a bit sad.
"Listen, doll...mummy's gonna be away for a while so you've got to be a good girl for Dawn. Can you do that?"

I was confused. Away? Where exactly was she now?

"Why? Where are you?"
There was then a loud buzzing sound.
"Mum? Are you alright."

"I'm fine sweetheart. Mummy just needs to be in...in time out for a bit."

"Time out? What for?"

I then heard voices in the background talking to her.

"Please can you give me a bit to talk to my daughter. Its important."

"Time out for what Mum? What's wrong?"
There was then a bunch of yelling and crashes from outside the door.

"Sirus, who's there? Where are you?"

I perked up a bit ready to tell her.

"Oh! Im with Dawn and her mates."

"Mates? What mates? Sirus, tell me where you are?"
From what sounded like she was shoving people away as they spoke to her.

"Mum? Mummy!"
I called out to her trough the phone having difficulty hearing do to the yelling going on around me.

"You fucking Wanker! I'll kill you! Don't you ever say her name again!"
Murdoc yelled at 2D. I looked to see that
he then proceeded to punch him.
Erin pull me back to get past me as she began yelling.

Dawn then went with her and joined in on the screaming and yelling.
Not knowing what to do I slink off to the bathroom locking myself in to keep away from it off.

The swearing got worse and my ears began to ring as i got a really large head ache.
After what seemed like hours i didn't even notice that they stopped until I realized how dark it was. The bathroom was very dark...my ears were still ringing and i still had a headache. I felt my eye lids getting heavy... What time was it? Where was everyone? I began to nod off and eventually fell asleep. Why was i getting so tired all of the sudden?

(Timeskip)

I awoke to the sound to the door handle being rattled. I lifted up my eyes slowly adjusting to the light.
I began coughing as I suddenly found it
Hard to breathe now...this typically happens after naps.

"Dawn? Have you *cough* have you seen my inhaler?"
I began getting up to open the door, only to realize...it wouldn't open.
"Dawn!?"

"Hang on lov' just calm down and take deep breaths."
I hear her fumble about with the doorknob again.
"I BLAME YOU GUYS IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HER!!!"

I then hear Dawn rush off.

"Lov' are yew okay in dare?"
Erin called out to me through the door.

"I'm okay. I just can't breathe good..."
I explained to Erin as I tried to push the door open. It still wouldn't budge.
A few moments later...there was arguing from the distance.
I sat down, taking deep breathes. Or attempting to. But it just made me light headed.

I made sure I could focus on my breathing. I kept my eyes closed and my mind focussed.
Dawn taught me this exercise every time we went out without my inhaler or when we ran out of medication for my breathing treatments.

Just breathe...
