Cameron's POV

"Okay well?" I ask.

"Emily's cancer hasn't spread any further, which is good, but there is a chance it could since what happened, we are going to take her into emergency surgery right now to remove the tumors." He says.

"How long will the surgery last?" Matthew asks.

"well she has multiple tumors so a few hours."

"Okay." Matt says. He looks really sad.

"You guys should go home and come back in a few hours." The doctor says.

"I'm going to stay." I say and matt agrees.

The doctor then left to go help with the surgery.

"I better call my mom."

Phone convo: c-cam m-his mom

C- Hey mom Emily is going into emergency surgery right now. It won't be done for a couple of hours.

M- okay honey, I'm about to leave now.

C- alright.

M- I love you

C- love you too

End of phone convo.

I sigh and sit by Matt who is crying. I bring him in for a hug.

"My sister means so much to so many people.." I say.

"Yes she does."

"I may seem like I'm staying strong, but in reality I cry myself to sleep every night thinking about her." I say.

"I cry when she's not around. I don't want her to know I cry. Everytime I cry she does."

"I know.. Taylor is mess."

"Yeah, he's like her other brother." Matt says.

"Sometimes I feel like he's a better brother for her than me."

"Cameron don't say that. It's not true. Taylor is her best friend. He has been since they first met."

"Yeah I guess so. I just need to spend more time with her." I say.

"When she gets home you can spend the day with her."

"Thanks."

We both sit in silence until my mom arrives, but then she left to go sign papers.
I fell asleep when someone was waking me.

"Cameron, cam wake up."

I look over and see Matt.

"What?" I say.

"We can go see Emily now." He says and I jump up out of my seat and follow him to her room.

"Hey how are you doing?" Matt asks and kisses her cheek.

"Okay I guess." She says.

"Everything is gonna be fine." I say.

"I know. Thanks to you guys." She smiles
