I Know What It's Like

Hey Sweeties, another chapter up, I hope you are enjoying this story, I am almost finished writing it, since I had last weekend off, anyways let me know what any other kind of stories you would like me to write, I am starting a Melwood story that I will upload after this story.

Mon-el's POV

I followed, Jack out of the restaurant, he sat on one of the benches out the front.

"Jack," I said

"Go away dad, I don't know why you're still with her" Jack said

"It's Mike," I said he turned around

"Oh, sorry" he replied

"It's ok, do you mind if I sit?" I asked him

"I guess, you're not going to lecture me about Supergirl?" He asked

"No, but I think she's pretty hot, don't tell Kara that though," I said, Jack, chuckled "I know what it's like to have a parent tell you those things," I told him looking at him sympathetically.

"Really?" He asked I just nodded

"My mum, wasn't happy when she met Kara, she begged me and told Kara she isn't, and never will be good enough for me," I told Jack. "And I know its a completely different scenario but I guess what I am trying to say is that you like Supergirl and my daughter, then do what makes you happy, even though your parents control you, it's your life, you choose what happens to it," I told him feeling proud of what I said.

"I know, it just that mum wants' me to be something bigger than just a writer, she wants me to earn lots of money, she wants me to have a wife that will clean the house, kind of like cinderella, but Lexie, she's not that and thats why I like her, because she doesn't need me to carry her books or open her door, sure I do it from time to time, but she is able to do things without being a damsel in distress" Jack said

"You know you remind me a lot of me and Kara when we first started dating, it's hard when women don't need someone to pick everything up for them," I told Jack

"Yeah, um I was wondering if it would be alright if I take your daughter out on a real date without the parents?" Jack asked

"Of course" I said. "Now did you want to go inside and have dinner, its probably cold, but I'm sure we can get them to heat it up?" I asked Jack, he nodded in agreement, we shook hands and walked back inside.

"Jack we are going, thank you for the meal," Sue said Charlie looked down.

"No mum, I am staying, would it be ok if you drop me home Mr. Mathews?" Jack asked

"Of course" I replied

"Jackson, be careful," Sue said

"He can say, thank you for dropping him home, I hope we can have another dinner another time," Charlie said

"That would be great, it was nice to meet you," I said as Kara and I shook his hand, Sue didn't even care. She just walked out of the restaurant not even caring.

Authors POV

They all ate dinner together, they enjoyed conversation better than when Jacks parents where they and that wasn't just Kara it was also Jack.

"I'm really sorry about my mum," Jack said to everyone

"It's ok Jack not everyone likes Supergirl," Kara replied

"Thank you for dealing with my parents, they can be a handful, they said they would do it for me because I really liked Lexie," Jack said Kara and Mon-el smiled

"Why don't we get Felix and Olli in the car, met us there," Kara said to Lexie and Jack. They both nodded and we wheeled out the pram.

While Mon-el and Kara were getting Felix and Olli in the car, Lexie and Jack were still sitting.

"So you like me," Lexie said with a smile

"Yes I really do, and that's why I don't want to do anything that will" Jack started, Lexie leaned in a kissed him, holding his cheek. "I really like you to, now come on my parents are waiting," Lexi said with a smile.

The two lovebirds walked out to the car where Kara and Mon-el where waiting. The two parents smiled realizing what happened, in the space of time when they had walked to the car and adjusted the car seats so that Jack was able to sit in. Kara said that she would sit in the boot of the car with one of the twins.

The car ride was silent when we arrived at Jack house, Kara and Mon-els jaws dropped, as well as Lexie'. "You live here?" She asked him, and he nodded. "Yeah um so my mum is kind of a big deal, that's why she wanted me to have a girlfriend that, let's say, our society" Jack said, Lexie, put her head down, "Dad wants the best for me so he said that he would give anyone a chance" Jack continued placing his hand onto Lexie's "Jack do you mind asking what your mum does?" Kara asked Jack, "she's one of the best judges, in national city, Sue the slam Scott," Jack said, I thought I new here, you are right she hates Supergirl and every case she gets, regarding 'tampering of evidence'." Kara said "yeah, again I'm really sorry" He replied

"It's ok Jack" Kara replied

"Um I'll walk you to the front door," Lexie said quietly.

The two got out of the car, walking to the front door. "Why didn't you tell me?" Lexie asked

"Because I was afraid that you wouldn't like me," Jack said shyly. "Well I do, I just wish you would have told me," Lexie said

"I know, let's just try to be a little more open with each other" Jack said and Lexie nodded knowing that she can't tell him the one thing that she really wants to. The gave each other a good night kiss. Jack waited for Lexie to get back in the car, and of course, Mon-el waited for him to get inside the house before they left.
