Barry speeds through their neighborhood after checking so many places already, trying to figure out where Bart could've gone. Who knows what kind of trouble that boy could get into?

His eyes then divert toward the familiar figure of a boy hugging his knees while sitting on the roof of a house.

It was Bart.

In a heartbeat, Barry speeds toward the house's front yard, where he got a better look at the kid.

"Bart," Barry breathes in relief, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips. The young boy glances down at his grandfather before looking back at his clasped hands. Barry swiftly climbs the tall tree next to the house, in order to get on the roof. "Here you are. I was starting to get worried." Bart doesn't reply. He continues to bite his bottom lip, prompting Barry to sit down next to him, hugging his knees as well.

"There's uh...there's gonna be a tree house in that tree," Bart breaks the silence as he nods at the tree Barry just climbed. "Dad and Uncle Brett built it for me when I was 7." Barry studies the sturdy tree next to them, trying to picture where the tree house would go. "It's the first place I go to when I need to be alone but...it obviously doesn't exist yet."

That's why he came here...

This is his future home.

"Speaking of your dad," Barry starts off. "Have you seen or talked-"

"I don't think it's a good idea." Bart shakes his head no. "I made a mental list of people that I came to interact with...He's not on the list." Bart admits. "Plus, he once told me he'd ground me if he remembers me from his past so...there's that." Barry can't help but chuckle at his last sentence. He glances at his own hands before his smile fades away.

"Bart, about Bree-"

"I tried." Bart shakes his head again before looking at his grandfather. "I tried not to tell her, I swear." Tears threaten to fall from his eyes, like a dam ready to burst. "But she was getting mad and I...I just couldn't lie anymore and-" his voice breaks before he rests his forehead on his knees to cry. Barry instinctively puts his arm around his shoulder.

"Hey...It's okay. I understand." All Barry gets in response is a muffled sniff. "And as for Bree...I'm sure you gave her quite the shock...You have to understand, when your future son comes from...well, the future...it can take a while to wrap your head around it."

"Like when you and Grams first met me?" Bart lifts his head to reveal his tear stained cheeks.

"Yeah." Barry smiles at the name Bart used for Caitlin. "Like me and Grams." Barry then eventually notices the gray truck parked in the driveway of the house. This may be his future home, but it's also someone else's current home.

"How 'bout we head back and talk about it? I'm sure Brett and Bree would appreciate an explanation." Bart sniffs one more time before nodding his head.
