Chapter 8: Hashtag

After taking off my flats, I walk through in to the living room. Marcus is sat watching tv. He takes his eyes off of the wide screen and looks over at me. He then looks at his watch.

"I didn't think kids parties went on until 7:30 at night?"

"Yeah, well your never guess who was there." I say sitting next to him.

"Who?"

"Michael. I mean, it's like the guy follows me."

"Really?" He says sounding surprised. "I didn't know he had a kid."

"No, it was his friends daughter. We got talking, and Zack was so hyper after the party so we went to this park, so he would tire himself out before I took him back home."

"You and Michael got talking?" He smirks.

"Yeah, and maybe... maybe I misjudged him."

"Ah see." He grins nudging me. "So you're best friends now?"

"I wouldn't go that far. We just spoke a little, I still don't trust him 100% just yet."

"So did Zack pass out after all the excitement?"

"Yeah actually." I laugh. "Hayley had to carry him out of my car."

"She's got a peaceful night then."

"If I've learnt anything from today, it's that I'm not having kids for at least another 5 years... or more."

"Put you off that much has it?" He chuckles.

"Yes. That much." I giggle.

"Well I hope it's not put you off of sex." He smirks kissing my neck.

"We definitely need to be more careful actually." I laugh pushing him off, getting off the sofa. He frowns watching me stand up.

"There's left overs in the kitchen for you, if you're hungry." He says eyeing me up and down.

I smile and walk out of the living room. My phone goes off. It's a text from Hayley -

Hey, thanks again for today. So needed some time to ourselves! Zack is still fast asleep. Who's Michael btw? Xx

I roll my eyes and smile, replying to her text -

No problem. That's good, you've got all night to yourselves as well then ;) He's a new guy at work, turns out he's a weird stalker. Xx

I grin, knowing she's about to freak out. She replies instantly -

Yes, more time for decorating!! What?! You're joking right??? Xx

I shake my head and text back -

Yeah, "decorating" :p No he really is a new guy at work, but not sure if he's a stalker. He could be. Lol. He had his friends daughter for the day, and happened to be at the same party. He also goes to the same gym as me... Xx

Hayley texts back-

That is a bit weird!! Or maybe it's all just a coincidence... so you see him every day at work, then at the gym, and then what are the odds of him being at the same kids party as you?! 🤔😬 is he hot? Xx

I sip some juice and almost choke laughing.

Oh yeah, that's a bit weird Layla, that there could be a possibility that you have a weird, mental stalker after you, but is he hot? And no, I'm not going to answer that lol xx

I wait for her replying giggling.
