The next day Marcus drives us both in to work. We rarely go in to work together... We get out and I follow behind him with my head down. We go through reception and Bethany looks up at us.

"Oh, good morning Mr and Mrs Daniels." She smiles, looking surprised to see us both arrive together.

"Good morning Bethany." Marcus smiles.

"Morning." I say with a weak smile.

"How are you both?"

"We're great. Ready to start the day. And yourself?"

"I'm good thank you."

"Good. Me and Mrs Daniels are going to be busy this morning, so if anyone calls or comes in for me, tell them I'll get back to them."

"Of course." She nods.

He smiles about to walk off.

"Oh and when you see Mr Jackson, could you send him up to my office?"

"Sure." She smiles.

We walk over to the elevator and get inside. Marcus looks at me.

"Don't look so sad."

I give him a look.

"I thought you'd be happy. I'm finally giving you a decision to make, because you always say I don't run things by you. Today is the day you get to fire Michael. That's what you've always wanted."

"Well it's not what I want any more."

He glares at me. The elevator stops and he walks out. I walk behind him, as we walk down to his office. He unlocks the door and we walk in.

"Remeber what I said." He turns looking at me. "If you go against me today, I'm calling the police on Michael and I'll get Jake fired from his job. I'll also take you home and beat the fuck out of you."

I look down, trying not to cry. I don't want any of them things to happen. I wish I waited to tell Marcus I wanted a divorce... but yesterday felt like the right time and I felt brave enough to do it. Now I regret it all. I sit down and sigh. I don't even have my mobile any more. Marcus took it from me yesterday. I couldn't even warn Michael. Why the fuck didn't I delete all that stuff Jake sent me? I just completely forgot about it... I had no idea Marcus would go snooping through my things, but I should have known better. This is all just messed up.

We sit in silence for half an hour. Marcus is sat on his laptop working. I try running different out comes in my head, but I know I can't do anything about this or I will just ruin other people's lives as well as mine.

There's a knock on the door. Oh no. I start to get upset, but I hold back.

"Come in." Marcus calls out.

The door opens and Michael walks in. His eyes shoot to me. I look at him but quickly look away.

"Good morning." Michael says, showing half a smile.

"Morning Michael. Come in. Close the door behind you." Marcus says calmly.

Michael does that and stands in the middle of the office.

"Take a seat." Marcus says pointing to a chair, in front of his desk.

Michael lowers his eyebrows and sits down. Marcus clears his throat. I stay quiet, trying not to look at Michael.

"There's been some things brought to my attention, from Layla."

Michael looks at me and back at Marcus.

"Like what?" Michael asks, with no expression.

Marcus looks at me, wanting me to speak now. I clear my throat and try to suppress my tears, swallowing hard.
