I sip some water. My hand is shaking like crazy. I slowly put down the cup and look back at the police officer. He presses a button on the recording machine and looks at me.

"Start from the beginning Layla."

I wipe away my tears and let out everything. I tell them everything. From when Marcus first started to abuse me, and from when me and Michael started seeing each other. Everything I tell them is the truth. I want Marcus to rot behind bars for the rest of his life, so I hope they believe me. They have to believe me. I can't let them punish Michael, and let Marcus walk away scott free. I tell them how Marcus is as a person, and how evil he is. I tell them how much I've grown to hate him and how much he has hurt me over the years.

They ask me so many questions and I begin to feel exhausted. I've been in questioning for hours now. They walk out of the room to speak to someone, leaving me alone. I stare at the wall feeling scared, and worried for Michael. The police come back in and sit down.

"Are you pregnant Layla?" He asks.

"Yes..." I nod slowly.

"Ok. We would like you to get checked over by a doctor. You've been through a lot, and it's wise to get looked at."

"I.. I feel fine though."

"Its just a precaution, for yours and your babys health."

"You think somethings wrong with the baby?" I start to worry.

"No, like i said, it's just a precaution. It's been very traumatic for you and I think you need some rest. That's the questioning over for today."

I look down.

"Can I see Michael?"

"No. He is still being interviewed, and will most likely be staying here. We'll be in contact soon."

A tear rolls down my face and I look away. The policeman stands up and helps me up. He opens the door for me and I see Hayley sit up from a chair. She quickly walks over to me, giving me a hug.

"Hey, are you ok?" She asks.

I nod.

"They've told me I need to get looked at by a doctor."

"Yeah, we'll go now. I'll take you."

I look down and she holds me as we walk out of the building.

"Are you ok?" I ask her.

"Yeah, I'm just glad you're ok Layla. I was so scared, I didn't know any of that was going on."

I start to cry.

"The baby will be ok won't it?"

She looks at me, as a tear rolls down her face.

"Yeah." She nods. "The baby will be fine." She shows a small smile.

We get in her car and drive to the hospital. I check in and say it's an emergency so they put me on top of the list. Me and Hayley sit in the waiting room. I rub my face feeling nervous and scared.

"They won't be able to hear or see anything though. It's too early." I shake my head.

"How far gone are you?" She asks.

"I'm not sure. 6 weeks maybe?"

"They might ask you to come back in a couple of weeks, but I'm sure it will be ok." She holds my hand.

I sigh.

"Did you see Michael?" I ask.

She looks at me and pauses for a second.
