Blake

I knocked on the door, waiting anxiously for it to open. Liam was by my side, my hand in his as we both waited silently. I swear in this moment, seconds felt like hours and my heart was hammering in my chest until we heard the door latch.

"Hey..." Tom opened the door and let us in. We walked in and I looked at him in a whole new way. "What are you doing here?" He asked with concern and I didn't bother answering him. I walked towards him and wrapped my arms around him silently while he stayed still, frozen.  "Wh- What's going on?"

I let go of him to look up at him. "I know the truth..." I whispered, "You are my brother..." His eyes widened in shock.

"How?"

"Jen told me." Liam answered for me.

He ran his fingers through his hair, not really knowing what to say, I guess.

"I didn't have a choice, my father forced me to lie to you-"

"I know... And it doesn't matter anymore... I'm so happy I've found you."

"I wish I had found out sooner, I wish I could have done something to help you."

"It's okay, you're here now, we both are. I can't believe I have a brother."

"You're not alone anymore, I will never let you down Blake..."

We could have never guessed we were siblings, there's no resemblance between us... Tom inherited his-  our  father's features while I'm a  spitting image of my mother. The only thing we have in common is our intelligence.

"So... This means you know about my father..."

"Yes, I know."

"What are you gonna do?"

"Nothing." I answered truthfully. "I can't force him to love me... I guess it's too late, after everything my mother did to him, I get that he doesn't want to have to do anything with me. I'm thankful that he found me a lawyer and helped me put my mmother behind bars, I don't want to ask for more." Even though it breaks my heart.

"You have no idea how much I wanted to tell you the truth..." He hugged me and I rested my head on his shoulder, simply enjoying this moment.
I have a brother.

"Blake," Liam interrupted us, "Don't forget you have an appointment with Jack."

"Right... We should go."

"We'll see each other soon." Tom reassured me. "You know you can call me at anytime."

"Thank you... I'll see you later..."

When we arrived home, Jack was already waiting for us outside.
Liam opened the door and we made our way to the living room and then we all sat at the dining table.

"So, the judge has made his decision and he gave custody to Agatha Turner."

"Agatha Turner?" I asked suprised, "But I don't even know her..."

"I know, but she took care of you for 5 years, she's got a nice situation and she's willing to help you. Trust me, that's better than going to a foster family."

"What about emancipation?" Liam asked, frowning.

"Don't you think I've already thought about that?" Jack looked at him and crossed his arms doubtfully. "After what's she's been through, Blake is too messed up to take care of herself right now, no jugde would agree to that." He turned to look at me and sighed. "Blake... You need a parent, someone who will love you and take care of you. You are way too young to live on your own, trust me this is the best solution. When I first called her she was desperate. She had just seen the news and was blaming herself for everything that happened to you. When I asked for her help, she took the first plane to meet me and talk about the trial.  I get that you don't know her but I can assure you that you can trust her. I think you should meet her, you both got some catching up to do..."
