I headcanon that Mo grew up in a nice loving household with a mother and father. He has a brother who is much older. Mo has also always been very, very shy. Growing up, he had mostly kept to himself, aside from a small group of friends.
Mo meets Glitch in his senior year of high school when Glitch makes an appearance at one of the school's dance competition things (read the timeline headcanon if you don't know what i'm talking about). Mo takes up an older brother relationship with Glitch because Mo never had any younger siblings.
