Headcanon #21: Love Triangle (Riptide Crew)

- it started out with you being a groupie

- going to every show, doing whatever you could to get to know the dancers in Riptide crew

- to your surprise, they took an interest in you as well

- every now and then, after a performance, one or the other would stop by you and ask how you were or what you thought of their new routine

- with time, these occurrences became more common

- you'd run into the pair at parties even, and you'd grown much closer

- that was when the signs started to show

- bodie had become enamored with emilia, and often caught himself looking over to her while they were dancing, admiring the smile painted on her face

- however, today he found her smile to be a bit different

- her eyes were locked onto you as the catchy pop music blasted from the speakers, a reflection of desire and adoration depicted in her expression

- he could feel his heart clench, and pushed himself through the dance

- the music stopped and applause roared out from the partygoers, and bodie excused himself away for a moment

- emilia thought nothing of it, assuming he'd been tired or gone to get a drink, and made her way over to you in the front row of the crowd

- your eyes followed bodie as his form pushed through the crowd, not noticing emilia approaching 

- "hey there" she spoke, her body coursing with the exhilaration of performance, "i was just thinking that you and i should go get dinner some time" she grinned.

- you paused for a moment, unable to process what was just asked of you.

- you declined her sympathetically, and let her know that she was an incredible girl, but you just couldn't set aside your feelings for bodie

- without another word, you set out in pursuit of him in the back corner of the party

- he looked you glumly, having watched you with emilia and surmising you said yes to her question

- "so emilia asked you out, huh? must be nice... i guess she'll never know how i really feel about her. but, if the two of you are happy, then i'm glad. she deserves someone who'll make her happy. 

- your heart sunk. you didn't know what to say. 

- bodie took a deep breath and put a hand on your shoulder, your eyes locking. 

- "congratulations." 

- he walked away, leaving you to wallow in your emotion amidst the commotion and music.

MAN... what a party.
