SOMETIME THROUGH THE NIGHT, Sam had managed to escape. The three of us are searching the property, looking for him. I follow Bobby outside but we look in opposite directions.

My head lifts up as I hear something hard hit the ground. I run in that direction, finding Bobby on the ground. “Bobby! Are you okay? What happened?” I ask him, helping him get up.

“Sam got away.” Is all Bobby says.

“How in the hell did he get out?” Dean asks as we enter the panic room. I look around, not noticing anything unusual.

“Maybe he had help.” Bobby says.

“Like who? Ruby?” I ask them.

“Well there is a room full of busted devil’s traps.” Bobby says. “Yeah, Ruby would be my guess.”

“How did she even touch the door?” Dean asks.

“You think she’s got the mojo?” Bobby asks.

I shake my head. “She’s a second-rate demon. I don’t think even Lilith could touch the door.” I say, remembering the door is iron, which demons can’t touch.

“I didn’t think she had the power, but how else do you explain it?” Dean asks. He gets down and examines a broken devil’s trap, a trap that prevents demons from entering or exiting.

“Doesn’t matter how he got gone, matters where he got gone to.” Bobby says, his thick valley accent coming through.

“Yeah, well, I’ll tell you one thing. At this point, I hope he’s with Ruby.” Dean says.

I furrow my eyebrows. “Why?” I ask him.

“‘Cause killing her is the next big item on my to-do list.” Dean says.

“I thought you were on-call for angel duty?” Bobby asks him as Dean walks out. I follow him. “I am on-call, in my car, on the way to murder the bitch.” Dean says.

“I’m coming too.” I tell him.

“One thing.” Bobby says to us.

“What?” Dean asks, turning around.

“Sam don’t want to be found, which means he’s gonna be damn near impossible to find.” Bobby says.

“Yeah, we’ll see.” Dean says and walks out. I follow him, walking behind him.

“Bye Bobby.” I say as we leave.

I hear a faint “Bye.” as we exit the basement.
